FINAL FANTASY XI Update (Jan. 13)

At the following time, emergency maintenance was performed on FINAL FANTASY XI.

It came to our attention that some players were using third-party software to repeatedly and automatically steal items from monsters in certain areas. Emergency maintenance was performed to address this issue.

To counter this exploit, it is no longer possible to obtain items via the job ability "Steal" from certain monsters in specific areas. This measure is only temporary, and the issue will be fully addressed in upcoming days.

We would like to take this time to remind our players that the use of any third-party equipment or software to change or modify the game in any way is strictly prohibited. If you come across such software, we ask that you please refrain from using it, no matter how minor it may appear to be.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

probably gil sellers running bots that steal from a vt moblin. If you have 75THF/NIN, you can steal Platinum Beastcoins near zone line. Once you steal from a moblin and zone, the moblin will despawn and the new moblin can be stolen from again. Blame this exploit on the new retarded mpk patch.

This can probably be done with orcs in davoi and monastic cavern and with quadavs in qulun dome too, but for gold beastcoins.

I've farmed platinum coins before and it just wasn't worth it. The steal rate on those are like 1/30 so 1 coin in about 2.5 hours with a 5 min recast of steal. If they had something to steal successfuly every time then wow...lol

Nah, I tried stealing Plat. from those moblins before, on azn's thf in both Olton and Newton, the chance of sucess for a 75Thf for sucessfully stealing a plat. beastcoin is still very low.

First I tried with mnk/thf ( 0/30 )

then I tried with thf 75 ( 1/10 )

So I think theres actually a third party program thing going on that has nothign to do with this moblin...
