uh to answer computer I think it was who said he didn't know how valour started:

Not sure how sentinels itself started, but near the time that monarchy was starting to gain sky power(( i think )), Sentinels was starting to lose power, and i'm not sure why but Elysa (( who was chinese I believe )) Wanted to merge with DLS (( I think it was DLS )) a chinese based linkshell, and turned sentinels into Final heaven. Alot of people didn't like that, so following Zelphes' lead they created Valour. And thats how valour started.

My first linkshell was Mordana, with ket jong kio croucont ridere antiheiss cyntari ike capzero, just a cool friends based shell. I remember Capzero desperately wanted it to be an HNM LS, but ridere and ket and others were tied to CKD, (( had pearls to it but stayed in mordana to chat alot )) and Cap just wasn't really fit to be an HNM shell leader. Soon after he pretty much went insane and broke the shell. So ket ridere cyntari croucont and gang all went to CKD, myself kioko and jong and antiheiss went to Sentinels. Then sentinels was starting to get weak for some reason or another, I can't remember why but drama was just all over. So jong I believe went to CKD, kioko went to monarchy, and zelphes and a crowds started valour. I was in valour for a little bit but then left it for monarchy because I think zelphes took a long break, and Mirza was kind of temporary leader and I hated that guy. lol So i went to monarchy wich at the time had almost complete sky power (( they were pretty much up there all the time )) and that was a really fun linkshell and really coordinated for a long time. But then all things good end, and Crimsonsan accused aiame of stealing money (( he was right , as u all probably know )) Aiame had stolen I think like around 180 million gil or some crazy number like that. Most of monarchy didn't even know how the hell he had that kind of money, we were well off but I dont think we generated that much from BCNMs. Anyways big drama ensued ofcourse and Monarchy (( the purple monarchy )) disbanded and started anew under a white/silver pearl. I personally don't feel monarchy was ever the same. They stopped doing events for a long time, and even let aiame back into the shell or something. i didn't want to even deal with it, so I just stayed with darkrikku in the japanese summoner linkshell for awhile., then an NA summoner linkshell with blace and abunch of cool summoners. then soon after I joined Joining of six, wich was a great linkshell, then I got tired of ffxi and quit the game. lol.

A little timeline I remeber but im kinda off about i'm sure (( as its been 3 years )) was that hokuten faded, sentinels was rising, CKD was #1 throughout all of this power wise, Sentinels was close in second to CKD, fatesealers was powerful too but had just started the HNM scene, sentinels died, Fatesealers grew powerful, somehwere in the midst of all this TTK and CSb popped up, wich were powerful linkshells in their own rights as well (( though I never liked TTK because I heard alot of them bot lol )) Valour grew powerful, So it was Valour TTK CKD and FS for awhile, Then monarchy came into power and rose fast, though they kept to sky, never did much HNMs so monarchy never saw much of other linkshells, they just did their own thing (( though I know alot of LS hated monarchy for always getting SKY NMs lol )). Monarchy eventually lost power because of the aiame thing, I'm really not so sure when JoS started or when it got powerful, but anyways. I'm not sure what its like now, eventually CKD ofcourse broke and made SPQR because yarr booted teh botters, and then most of CKD (( that I know of )) went to attarri with the botters. I dont know what its like now and days. I know meilor was in there somewhere but I never knew much about them. Also that timeline is according to who was in power, I'm really not sure when the actuall linkshells were created, but thats just a summary (( how I remember it )) of who was in power at what time (( who did HNMs, Sky, wyrms, ect ect ))

How is the linkshell situation now and days? whos in power? I'm assuming botting shit now and days isn't as taboo as it used to be, because atarri would have forced alot of other NA linkshells to do it to compete

Monarchy has been a roller coaster since they reformed. A lot of the original members are gone. My favorite person who left the game was Onimusha. I fucking loved that guy so much lol. We used to have gay hangout sessions where we would stay up late and bullshit by a waterfall in Lufaise Meadows. Noodlebrain, Cyix, Obelisk, and Krellis are still there. I think they are the only original members left in the shell. Noodle has been working his ass off to make it better. I really like Noodle too. He was one of the people that would always put me in a good mood when I was pissed about stuff. He always has kind things to say, and he's good at making me laugh.

Aiame sold his character to his rl friend named Adam. Adam sold all of Aiame's non rare/ex stuff and sold the gil. Then Aiame bought the character back for something rediculous like $700. Aiame was allowed right back into the shell because he is good friends with Cyix still and Cyix is the shell holder (I have nothing bad to say about Cyix, I really like and respect him a lot). Aiame demanded to be bumped to the top of the Osode list and started trying to take control of the linkshell again. We had some drama on our private forums about it which eventually led Aiame to leaving the shell for Eromenos "OneNightStandz" end-game social LS. I think Eromenos quit FFXI and gave his character to Aiame also.

Anyways yes...Monarchy is a totally different shell today. I still love all of them though

I liked everyone in monarchy shell, even aiame though I thought it was pretty stupid of him to steal all that gil and I never understood why (( if he wanted the gil to buy something he knew the LS would support him, he was our main ninja tank afterall)). I never really thought cyix was a suitable leader, and did not ever think he had the motivation to properly reform the shell. He always seemed too passive to me, wich is why I just ended up not caring about the shell anymore, i figured it would never really get back on its feet and everyone was always fighting.

Aiame, though apparantly a sneaky prick, always had incredible motivation for the linkshell, and thats why it got so good at its high point, aiame gave everyone the motivation to get organized, do well, made LS events in sky everyday fun, ect ect.

I always said that Aiame was monarchy's drive, and Murph was monarchy's morals. And that made the shell as a whoel work pretty well.
But after finding out about the aiame gil shit everything went to hell lol, and the murph and tokaru quit, wich made stuff worse, lol

Its so funny thinking about how so many people change online and get so into mmorpgs, Like i really used to hate yarr with a passion and now after quitting ffxi i dont even remember why, haha mmorpgs consume people.

Last I saw only valour and atari camped kings. There are many sky shells, but I'm not sure how many of the younger ones kill kirin. Melior and ttk have advanced sea presence. Melior, FS, and valour are all making relic shields (Kalade, Kilik, and Zelphes). In terms of current linkshells valour, jos, and ttk have killed dynamis lord, but dunno if fs has. I think in 2006 only valour's killed it scoring one mantle, one ring, and 2 hundreds, but some asshole retired with the mantle. Last I heard about jos was centhea "temporarily" quit the game months ago. I dunno who leads it now, she was the only person I knew there so I kinda stopped paying attention. Valour killed cerberus first but never farmed it. Melior and atari both farmed it a bit.

That was one of the things I loved about CKD was that Yarr was pretty self-less, as far as LS leaders go. In fact, I can't really think of any items in which Yarr defaulted items to himself, or put himself before anyone else in terms of gear they wanted.

I see some of the LS leaders now adays who have the all the best items for some of the more pricey jobs. I guess there's a chance that some of those items are way more common now than they used to, but it really made me appreciate yarr's leadership styles. Even if he did like to sling mud at people at times. lol.

The guy Aiame sold his character to (Adam) showed some of us rl pictures of him. He's an asian dude like Madi said. Adam also mentioned the 1 time Aiame talked on teamspeak, it was one of his rl female friends. Aiame also paid for Murph's account for a little while, and Murph saw it was a guys name on the card somehow. Murph called Aiame out, and Aiame said it was his brother's card lol. Aiame still pretends to be a girl last I know. It's pretty sad. Some people in Monarchy would still call Aiame a "she" to make him happy...fuck that lol. It always pissed me off when people did that. Aiame has a penis irl.

Dragonb did come back. He was in Monarchy for a couple months and he eventually got Aiame to come back (that's when Aiame bought the account back from Adam). He left for Eromenos linkshell with Aiame. I think Dragonb plays to his day. The 2 of them were lovers in love just like before. I think he's in denial or something lol. He's a damn good white mage. He is one of the most anti-social people I've ever met in FFXI though.

Monarchy would have remained a very solid linkshell, if it's members were more patient. I could have left Monarchy anytime I wanted and gotten into any shell I wanted as Ephit if I tried (I've gotten begged from friends in other linkshells many times). I was a BLM with good merits that enjoyed coming BLM to anything (which has been in demand for practically every linkshell), and I also had a 75 RDM if needed. I always stuck with the shell no matter what, and was always willing to contribute any help I could to make them better. I wish I could say the same for others. We had problems because we had too many impatient people who left for Atariii, ttk, and fate sealers the second they saw any downtime. Or people would start drama over something stupid, leave the linkshell over the drama, and join Atariii/CKD. When really they just wanted land king loot and they use the drama they started as a reason for leaving, blaming Monarchy. That's happened with a couple people lol it's rediculous.



Yeah man...that always made me wonder. Aiame would post pictures of this hot girl on our site, saying that was "her". No way I could picture a good looking girl playing FFXI hardcore. I think it's a fact when any FFXI player posts a picture of a hot girl saying that's them irl, they are in fact a man. We've all seen it proven enough times.

Thanks Ridere. I think the only thing I ever defaulted to my self was a A. Abj Legs. Although no one else really wanted, only Zadan who had only joined a few days before.

I pretty much hated to see linkshell leaders feeding and leeching off of the work their linkshell puts in as a team. I did an asston of extra work as a linkshell leader (far more than putting out linkshell fires) and the only thing I ever wanted out of it was the boost to my already oversized ego.

I never really cared that much about loot. I just cared about the linkshell and making it better than everyone else.

lol, I use to joke with Talisin that while some people collected gear for their character, I collected players for my linkshell. While people sat around waiting for fafnir to pop, I spent my time trying to figure out who I wanted in CKD, or what I could do it bring down the other linkshells haha.
