In my experience I've only had a problem with a small handful of racist JP types, all the other ones may list as JP only but once you tell them the facts they join up. I have to agree, 95% of JP that list JP onry are just saying they want a party where you leave with the same people you joined with, etc.

A HK friend once told that JP PT leaders have to give a speech at the end of an exp. session. I believe the Leader just thanks everyone for how well they did and then disbands.

Ya i can usuallly get alot of JP to join up give them a rundown of where you going party's job only bout 10% JP eltist and say {english} {no thanks} or a few yell at me in caps for even asking but most are pretty chill about it if you ask right.

typical experience:

put up my lfg flag at 2:30am.
at around 4:00am i notice an influx of JP lfg at my level
at around 4:15am all the JP that just lfg already all formed up together and left me out
at 5:30am i get an invite and i accept, its a JP DRK whose search comment says (English)(No thanks).
while he's looking for members he says Whisp (Can you speak Japanese?)
I respond (/no)
He responds (Please forgive me.)(Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass.)(Disband)
so i got booted
logged off. 3hr 6min lfg.

I had lots and lots of JP parties as RDM. It doesn't bother me not chatting a lot (lets me focus on my job) and I learned a lot along the way and made some great friends. First 75 PLD I ever met is JP and he just came back after a three month break, and contacted me right away.

I never used to understand why JPs hated the /check thing so much so I asked a JP friend that knew some English. He explained it's not a matter of the checking (necessarily), it's the word that is used in Japanese. In the English version, it says XXX examines you. (which is pretty neutral sounding) In the JP version it says like XXX inspects you. (or something like that, I can't remember the Japanese word :/) He said it wouldn't be so bad if SE simply made it the same word in both versions. He actually said "SE has low INT" haha.

For the JP only thing... meh I have had encounters JPs that are willing to pt with me and suffer through my bad Japanese and even practice their english with me (lol) and then on the opposite side of the spectrum, there are some that think replying to a tranlated /tell is below them or something -_-. And then of course there are [English][Leave] people.

Basically when someone is an idiot in-game I remind myself that they are probably children irl and try not to stress about it too much.

I invited a PLD today to a party with my DRK, JP with (English)(No thanks.) in search comment. Didnt really see the big deal, in the end he still joined and we had a really good party.
