I was going to do 75 MNK but i just lost intrest at Puntching and Puntching and Puntching dident really hold my attention then i did NIN thinking have to Cast spells and provoke and do all that stuff would be cool. But as im hitting the tree its get boring and i mean REALLY Boring.

So i dont know what im going to do right now. Being galkan im really not going to be prone to takeing a mage job. I might quite in a few months maybe once i get A job to 75 then will see if things liven up with the HNM's and Gods but if nothing big changes i fear my Social life is going to kill my Final Fantasy one.

But a know a couple things i must do.
1. Kill a God.
2. Kill a HNM.
3. get Woodworking to 100+3
4. Atleast start BST with a freind and maybe take it to Release lvl.
5. Leave with the fact that the whole 250+ Day's wasent a HUGE waste of my time.

I didn't mean to misquote you, I guess I just misunderstood.

I think a lot of people picked WHM as their first job already (PC users) so now all those 75 WHM like myself (Ruby, Whisp, Lyndis, Cherie, Mikekirby, Xiona...) are starting a second or third job.

I do see your point now though, a lot of times WHM and PLD are overlooked for parties now and instead people get RDM + BRD and NIN (in higher levels). I do still see a good number of WHM at lower levels when I am xping other jobs, but hardly any PLD.

the problem is that PLD is a stupid job on its own. It has only one viable sub job, WAR. Square needs to up the Defence on PLD, give them some sort of "Voke" so that they can act as a real tank class rather than NIN.

that's ok... I think PLD will definitely get a lot better with shield update. However, instead of just using one shield fit all, PLD might have to own different shield for different kind of mob.

War/nin can't tank well alone. They have to recast utsu 90% of the time making it very hard to land enough hit to keep hate. If they decide to use def gear and defender like a pld would, their damage will fall too low and hate will still be hard to keep. I'm not saying it's impossible to tank because I did it many time in 4-5k/hour+ party after 70, it's just that a nin or pld would do the job much better.

However, 2 war/nin or 1 war+ 1 nin can both go in full attack mode and tank no problem

Finally got MNK close enough to see the light at the end of the tunnel (73), but MNK has given me the urge to tank, and with the exception of some extreme cases, no one really likes me to try. ^^; NIN is definitely next currently screeching to a halt at 61 for lack of a pretty harness and the BLM sub I really wanna try out. ^^
