looks more like a tamer to me.

Like how gau is in ffVII, where u steal monsters ability and learn them after u fight them and stuff.

Is that what blu mage is? Blue mage was never popular in ffxi series, I don't knwo why people are so anxious about them.

i'm almost POSITIVE that this job will be the final reward after you finish the storyline for this game. i can imagine seeing one running through jueno, the first one, with a huge train behind him /checking.

They should just do job enhancements and such. Not merit but like give new titles and new ablities for jobs you already have.

they are going have to change the whole job system.. just so we can use Blue mage in an exp party.. Blue mage would be nice.. i remember i loved Healing wind in ff9 :D

Hcc you are talking like a reflect type ability? Like when something casts or does something to your character, you do it right back to them. Hmmm wonder if that has been done in this game already lol. Well anyway blue mage looks interesting and it will be interesting in how the debuff and damage abilities of the monsters do in party situations... will the monster buffs translate into full party buffs though? I doubt it since blue mage isn't a buffer because it learns abilities used against them and buffs aren't used on you.... so it will not "replace" bard. What I really hope though is that Blue Mage isn't another DD job (shows two damaging abilities in those screenshots). Sorry but this game has enough DD already and if we add more it will just decrease the invites other jobs get even more.

Funny to hear you guys hate on bard.. I can imagine why though. A good portion of BRD players are arrogant pricks who think they deserve a great party every time and kick or whine about every player who isn't great. Wish as you may but I do not see any job totally replacing the role of bard in this game. You may not find bard fun to play (I can understand this) and hate some bards you xp'd with. You may as well accept the fact that no job will have exactly the same buffs as bard.. SMN has great buffs though and is more versatile than BRD in some respects already.

Geomancer would be sweet though. Some of the things done in that job would force SE to make up new animations and graphics though. They get away cheap with blue mage because it is the same graphics basically as what the monster uses, but in the size of the player. Geomancer would require more work graphically. I doubt SE would do that, they seem way to lazy to do something that big.

The biggest thing I would want from a update is a new avatar or two. Bahamut's model is in the game already, but if he was added then that battle would have to be ridiculously difficult due to the possiblity of Bahamut overpowering SMN more than it already is. We have a avatar for every element.. just the new ones would have no element association. One more ability to help the survivability of wyverns for DRG would be cool(preferably at about level 60 where most DRGs hit the biggest roadblock it seems). Not a huge unbalancing ability just something to let the wyvern live a few more minutes lol.

I hope Tenzen's homeland has new monster types.. and not more recycled mobs.. new places to xp 1 to 75 would be nice too. I would like to see one more method of transportation. The way Tavnazian safehold gives you AH and Mog house when you get further in CoP missions is cool and I hope they do that with this expansion. I want people to have more incentive to do the damn missions. I really hope the fucking missions are not level capped.. tired of carrying equip for all those caps (for most jobs it is worse than mine). See if they are like rank missions and are not capped but increase in difficulty so you have to use a party of 75s to beat the last few missions in the expansion it would be cool. Also I would like SE to fucking give us a complete expansion... If they are going to release some pile of shit like CoP when it was released it should have been fucking 20 dollars.. maybe even 10. Now CoP had a good story, but overall it was a letdown.

If this expansion is just one new job.. and no avatars and no new abilities for other jobs... I am going to be pissed. Another gobbiebag and mog house expansion would be nice as well. Hell I would be estatic if somehow SE would raise the level cap without imbalancing the game RDM sub at 80+ would force them to give RDM another ability to counter even a gimped convert on subjob... and if it they ever went to 85 they would have to gimp subjob refresh. But higher level cap would fuck up the enormous amount of merits some of us have.. would need a way to counter that too. I doubt the level cap is getting raised. Maybe some more equip choices spread out on different levels and jobs would help certain jobs at certain levels. I agree with those who say SE needs to focus on boosting other jobs instead of nerfing one job. I am sure though SE will do as little as possible as long as well keep paying for this shit.

I honestly don't think smn needs any more avatars, just those damn bloodpacts the primes can use. Bahamut would be way too big, and doesn't he like...want to kill us..or something? That wouldn't make too much sense lol, maybe i'm wrong on that. I see Diablos as an option although i didn't pay any attention the the CoP Storyline so he could want to kill us too, and maybe Pheonix. I'd personally like to see Odin.

As for the blue mage, that looks really awsome, but yes I hope it isn't the only job added.

And another gobby bag would be awsome <3
