There's a reason why Haubergeon's are generally worth more.
Anyone stupid enough to "upgrade" for like 2 more defense and no agi lost deserves to be stuck with it.

Haubergon can be worn by NIN and SAM so it is far better utility wise (also PLD haha). Hauberk is only equippable for WAR, DRK and BST. You are fucked man lol. |

Pretty sure the only reason a NIN would be using a Haubergeon would be to macro in for Blade: Jin. Other than that. . . -20 evasion good for skilling parrying. o.ob lol |

What ninjas do you party with? Anything with a bard can be tanked with your eyes closed while receiving oral sex. |

I can't tank for shit on my warrior using utsusemi. I leveled ninja to 37 only using utsusemi, and never bought :ni. From my experience playing Dmitry's ninja, I figure you have enough time inbetween fights for the recast to go down to rely just on the 7-11 shadows you get from Utsusemi ichi+ni. Idk what evasion does with shadows or whatnot, but if you can't dodge every hit on ninja, you prolly suck. I know some warriors that can tank pretty well with only ichi. |

I was once in on a byakko that zel solo tanked on war. lol Multiple bards and stunners with the thousand sword dance (I CANT VOKE I HAVE TO KEEP SWINGING ARGHRG)and a koenig shield. One of the smoother byakkos in my time. |

Real ninjas tank in haubergeons. . . lol Really, if you're fighting something that you can't evade anyway, just using it for the attack and accuracy with help generate more enmity anyway. Mostly now, since I'm 75, I wear the ninja chainmail and macro it in for WS, but when I was exping at lower levels I'd tank in it a lot since the difference isn't that noticable.
