i was thinking about the major differances between FFXI now and back in the day so i figured i'd list a few things that will bring back memorys and stuff feel free to add your own things to list (only things that are old school.. if your unsure don't post, also only post from personal experiance not from what you've heard) your old school if -You Remember When people Killed Dhalmels for exp in Tahrongi at lvl 15 -You got avatars before the lvl 20 fights were released and then summoned on in the dunes and noobs yelled "OMG RUN AWAY GIANT MAN IN A THONG" -You did your AF3 in a full alliance because NA 75s were practiclly non-exsistant -you remember camping behemoth alone (i mean the whole zone empty maybe a few JPs but deffinatelly no other NAs) just to see him and then getting owned by meteor cause KB popped -you remember when leaping lizzy boots were only 150k -you remember when kraken club was only 20mil -you remember getting owned by mobs way to strong for your 3 man lvl 10 PT cuase you couldent remember if VT or IT was stronger -you remember when getting an advanced job was a big deal -you remember the ORIGINAL Hokuten -you can name the leader of the freind LS -you were ever in the Freind LS -you know what the freind LS is -you remember being level 30 on foot and seeing half a zone run away in la theine and then getting owned by a big ass ram and that ram would stay up for a good 3-4 hours -you remember when RDMs had cure V god i could go on for hours... the good ol times lol, feel free to add to the list |

i remember all those 'cept rdm had cure 5?? were any NA high enough rdm to ever have cure5? |

Wasn't Laylaa or something leader of friends? Some mithra warrior in any event. I remember clear as day being lvl 33 and level in gargailege or whatever the fuck it was called when the LS was breaking up and such. I also remember Kayne and Piro for being pissed at me for whoring myself out to level in JP parties instead of leveling with them. |

I remember xping off of Dhamels in Tahrongi haha. Went to Maze of Shakrami after that usually. I remember when a xp pt we had tried to go to Meriphitaud, that didn't work out too well. I remember a JP SAM using polearm and spamming pentathrust on Sea Horror when I was a noob. I also had avatars before the level 20 fights were released, using my level 5 SMN in East Saru with Fenrir. Those were the days. I remember when Hokuten first killed Lumberjack lol. Pirotess was actually out there as his mithra, this was before Uryll was 60 I think. There are way too many FFXI players that have hentai fetishes. |

Same for me my first time through. My first exp parties ever were in those 2 places. I ended up taking the boat to dunes after dying from aggro several times in Bubu. Being an FFXI noob sucked lol. I'll add to this list...when it took 215465874321231646546987 exp to get to level 75. Seriosuly it was so painful. Now getthing through the 50s, 60s, and 70s not only requires less exp, but there's a crapload of people every level and a lot more places to exp....even to exp faster! |

and yes RDM had cure V at one point, was a RDM/WHM spell before they raised the lvl cap to 75 then they made it WHM onry theres another one BTW you remember whem the lvl cap was 70 |
