i'm surprised they even still have it in stores. i came to the realization while playing the crappy RPG Maker 3 game that all i ever try to do in any game i play is mimic ffxi. so.. no goals, no plans (ive already experienced most of what the game has to offer), just gonna play if i'm bored since i have like 3 months off. i figure TS will try to talk me out of it. (aka talk sense into me) so anyway who of old school still plays? i wonder if they'd let me make a "Whisp" or if that is grounds for a ban since the original Whisp got banned. |

I feel obligated to try and talk you out of this, so here goes some stuff you probably already know. You've spent a large amount of time on this game and it was fun, but it was also a huge waste of a significant portion of your life. You could come up with a better way to spend your summer. Just remember all the people who suffered because of your addiction (yes it was an addiction) to the game: family, friends, were ignored and neglected and were so relieved when you finally decided to quit. Now you'd be letting them down and letting yourself down if you decided to relapse and play again. Even though we joke around like "that was the best part of our lives," FFXI took away 2 years of our lives. It may have been fun, but I know I regret it. Life is all about making progress, and breaking ties with FFXI in July 2005 was an important step in both our lives. I'd hope that you would try to talk me out of it if I ever decided to play again, so yeah...ummm...DUDE ARE YOU CRAZY TO EVEN CONSIDER THIS?? lol In conclusion, don't play. Just return the box and we'll forget all about this ugly little episode. |

Yeah you won't be able to use Whisp I think. Multani couldn't use his old name when he tried to remake. Funny that you come back about the same time as I quit haha. |

WTF Slip n' Slide thats weird... a few weeks ago I went to a chick's 20th birthday and she rented one of those huge 2 lane inflatable Slip n' Slides lol. Hadn't been on one of those since I was 12. Don't buy a Slip n' Slide haha. |

Dood I was just trying to come up with a way for Whisp to kill time, other than coming back to FFXI, during the summer. I don't mind if you come back but after reading TS' post it seems like staying away from FFXI might be for the best. But if you do come back then feel free to ask me for help on missions, quests and other shit like that. I'll be your new High level friend in game. >:D Et's all Fuck teh Slip n' Slide... i tried it for a day and decided... i just can't play this again. sorry guys. remey or mil can you tell fattino and synergy (ilma) if you see 'em. it's fun, but it's just not something i feel like doing again, after all. |

I would have called it at the first post but I haven't been on the forum a lot lately. The only reason my ffxi account is still active is to help a friend who recently restarted, I don't even log in unless they need something done. Hell even I can think of better ways to spend a summer and I'm a fucking shut-in. Gonna spend a while downloading and zipping every FF soundtrack so I can upload it here lol. That should take a good while, besides that I just concentrate on yard work, exercise, and eventually going back to school. I painted the fence yesterday (Hi, I'm Tom fuckin sawyer) and no joke, came inside with over 50 mosquito bites. Life is horrible, but it beats FFXI. Heil crocodile my friend, put on the old SPF8000 and get some fresh air. |
