Hey.

I haven't logged on FFXI in about a year, so for those of you who have... I have some questions.

I was in the same linkshell from 4 months before the game released until the day a quit about 3 1/2 years later.

Anyone have any information as to what happened to JoS? I noticed the forums went down about 2 months ago and have been curious as to what happened ever since. I figured the bill wasn't payed.

I know Cherie started playing the game again in Febraury but then suddenly disappeared a week later without explanation never to be heard from again.

To make a long story short... Does JoS still exist? How did it die? Who was its last leader? Anyone know what happened to Cherie?

I think it does still exist but maybe as a social only, most of the members you prolly got to know when it was going strong have either quit or moved on to other lses, I know I've seen centhea around with a JoS pearl (think it might be like purple or pink now though) I would send her a tell for more info. hope this helps

People always want moneyz. I wonder if Fyakyo looted all my gilz. Either way I have a fortune in equipment that will never sell. Haha. Pretty sure I'd never be able to sell my Hauberk +1.

I really liked Tilo also. I met him on Allakhazam a loooong time ago and we were friends when I was Kluya. We stopped talking for whatever reason after I started playing Ephit (I lost contact with a lot of people then).

Bro, i'd be more than happy to take over Sparky lol. You don't know how bad I want to play without completley starting over lol. I wouldn't change any of the info either, just in case you're ever interested in coming back...

i know trinitty was in it for a while, old school JoS. He's been on sporadically. He was in my first shell, Majo, so i got to know him real well. Actaully, just talked to him yesterday

I don't think much of JoS was around when i left FFXI a few months ago, after Malkav came back, cherie showed up, i was kicked, and i ran into Mekong about 4-5 times, but thats about it.

Tilo was mad cool until he became a lapdog for JoS and stopped talking to all the friends he made prior to joining that ls, but then that just seemed like the m.o. of all of my friends who joined that ls (yes i'm still bitter after all this time) ah well at least the shell got it's just desserts in the end and everyone who turned on me turned on them. Actually tilo was a nice guy even to people in JoS, but jim if you must know he kinda blackballed some of JoS when he went to Atariii, and then he quit. but i still like and miss Tilo, havent talked to him for a long time.

So yeh, he basically did the same thing to JoS people when he left to Atariii that he did to me when he joined JoS, it sucks, and it's part of what made me so emo for so long (lolz) That's right though, I forgot he went to atariii... and after awhile I felt like it wasn't even him, but a 2-boxed character and then he just disappeared. very strange

far as i know he decided to do stuff IRL and was bored with the reason he went to atariii and that was to camp kings, and maybe actually claim and kill.

Gotta have the CFH and wipe though (or kill it CFH). FFXI is no fun unless you make it flail and CFH. It is all in the timing and how jackass the manner in which it is done. The next day you kill the same monster in under 15 minutes.

Hey I have never called a GM ever. Yeah I guess Atariii does still have some snobbery. If you aren't pissing people off in a MMO, you are doing something wrong. FFXI is so care bear it is sickening.

They need to bring back mpk.

Best thing about going to Aspid camp was running through kuftal tunnel without sneak to mpk the PT camping near the cape zone and getting the /angryface>< tells. The whole "Sam Fisher" in cape was fun too.

and I think Tilo was in Atariii for like 2 months, he'd have connection problems or something like that, kept him from logging in. After a while he just stopped logging on.

@jos yes. Also steal kings from jp for no reason then piss/moan when they wipe/zerk and some other ls picks up the nm. Campers return but people like that make trouble for a day, fail to kill the enemy, and never come back.

I still remember JoS from pre-release. The linkshell originally formed during beta and chose Ifrit as the server. I was going to join that server until the original CKD from DAoC figured they would give FFXI a try and we created our own ls called OrnySheep or something like that.
