So I installed ff11 back on my computer. Its a different one that I had before, it has the new windows. I can't open playonline, is there something else I need to do to get it to open? I've tried all that I can think of, but I am sure there are many more. Thanks. |

Maybe make sure it's being ran as administrator, or whatever. |

I had the same problem when I used my original disks to install. Then I bought it on Steam for 2.99 and downloaded everything fresh and it worked fine. |

If you have Vista or Windows 7, the PlayOnline that comes installed with the original discs does not work. Instead, you have to download PlayOnline from the Square Enix website here: http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/downlo ... sta01.html Or direct link: http://dl.square-enix.co.jp/polus/setup.exe Install that version and then install FFXI as usual and it should update to the very latest version properly. |

Ket is right when I reinstall the FFXI, I had win 7 as OS. I had to download from SE the part for Win 7 to get playonline to work. |
