Not really. It's not as low as some but definitely mid to lower level population. Everyone has been migrating to Asura. That's the big server now a days. |

I just reinstalled and subbed a couple days ago. I just want to check the game out, haven't played in nearly a decade. I'm going to make a character on Asura, probably named Pinchface. |

So I was feeling a little bored this weekend, work has been manic however just moved to a new project so expecting things to be quiet for a few weeks.... and I have installed and re-subscribed..... last login was 2010 :D so only been 8 years but I thought lets see who is playing and looks like there are a few people! I might roll a new character or just move over (toon seems to be on Odin....) however rolling a new one sounds like it might be more fun. Might be seeing some of you soon

Made a bit of a mistake as I bought the discounted "everything" pack this morning but found I had to make it a new POL account, so I have started (again) new char "Regnar" on "Asura" as this is where it seems everyone is at, have rolled a WHM  done a few levels, just now, would be good to join some people and do a bit however at a low level I'm probably not too useful yet :D enjoying the long fights again though, I think everyone should come play some FFXI for a few weeks :pHowever after 15 years, I have forgotten how everything works :D so its like being new to the game which is really nice On the plus side the back (£7.99) gets all expansions etc and 30 days to play

I'll message you when I'm on next. I went into East Sarutabaruta last night and was astounded at how quickly you can level now lol. I went from 1 - 9 on my black mage in about 10 minutes. It's definitely scratching my nostalgia itch to be playing the game again. |

So I went to install Windower as I kind of remember using it way back, but with it installed the game won't load up.... is this just me or is there some known setting / add-on that might cause this, I've been searching around and can't find any particular reason.... also are there other Addons to consider that might make some QoL improvements? P.S. Thanks for the link pearl Kioto when is everyone else here coming back :D got my sub job and a couple of jobs to 20 now, so going to push forward levelling soon, just been sorting quests etc out

I do say hello had a good chat with a few people the other day, but working hard on levelling and missions.... got 3 toons to 45 already (WHM, RDM, BLM) and unlocked GEO about to start levelling that up to 99 however a bit concerned on the price of the spells you need!!! but I'm really enjoying the game again, and the XP boosts from RoV plus all the easy ways to travel cheap make it so nice to just go do things I forget about talking to people, unlike the old FFXI days where you stand around for parties chatting to people :D different game, and much less social with Trusts etc now... but that's ok the game is old and some people seem very eleitist.... my brother has rejoined the game today too (Ezakimak back on Ifrit... these days goes by Drazark) need to get him a link pearlEDIT: Also I found Kayne in game.... I doubt its our Kayne though

Yeah I've got about 8 jobs to 50+ the limit breaks are slowing things down a bit but got a few jobs pushing onwards to 99 its just a big nostalgia thing I suppose, not sure how long it will last but enjoying the "new" content that I never played |

Thanks Kioto I do ask the LS stuff from time to time, been enjoying levelling a few characters, before making the push to 99 which I am now doing, at 85 now (and unlocked to 90) on GEO got WHM and THF at 70 and several classes to 50..... been having to make some money too and doing RoV and Rank quests a bit (Rank 6 now) plus these days I have a job which means I can't play like back in the old days, but I love how its not so much a grind anymore, the trusts makes things a bit too easy perhaps. Like you say the game seems to start at 99 many of the missions now I seem to need to be 99 for.... hence pushing on up, then I might need a hand getting some gear Funny when I installed it I mostly just wanted to see the old content, but the game is just so different, if not for the graphics and old zones you would think its a different game..... almost perhaps what FFXIV should have been
