i never understood /rdm for a non mage job over /whm, the only thing you get is phalanx and you lose like 50 other things, but phalanx sucks with no enhancing skill on main heh. but is a common sj for solo melee (i think ppl just feel like asses leveling whm :P) |

Well DRG/RDM works because you still get that small bit of boost from phalanx, plus you get the healing breath ability still, not to mention dispel comes in handy for shitty stat boosts. |

I like PLD/RDM (even though I'm too lazy to get off my ass and level RDM anytime soon), but that's mainly because PLD has enhancing skill, so gets a decent amount of benefit from phalanx. |

also, with drg/rdm you have the cheapest(mp-cost) way of triggering healing breath, poison with /whm you have to use dia...lol EDIT: wait...does rdm learn poison? i think i confused myself ![]() |

rdm gets poison, id have to check but im pretty sure poison/dia is same mp cost. i didnt think of dispel, but whm sj you get full access to -na spells, slightly bigger mp pool, and the biggest thing imo is the added clear mind(teleports are handy too :P). also, will cure 1 yourself trigger healing breath? i imagine not cuz i never see people do that but itd be more effecient than dia i think. |

Dia cast time is much shorter then cure and also a little less mp, it's rather hard to interrupt, especially with fast cast trait on redmage. Poison is 6 mp, Dia is 7 if I recall correctly. Cure is 8mp. Redmage stats also give a slightly better stats and a little more hp. |

poison is 5mp, and dia is 7, both have very short casting time, which is what you want any spell will trigger healing breath, you just have to be under 30% health when you cast it, or under 50% with AF helm on (if you are trying to heal someone else in your party, they have to have those hp percents) i've also heard rumors of a drg/rdm soloing Roc...im not so sure about that one though lol |

before they nerf TP count for multi hit WS... DRG/RDM can solo all the way to 70+ I have partied with a JP DRG around 70 who told me he had never seen WS after pentra until I invite him into the party because all he used was spaming pentra solo from 60-6x... |

...actually it might be 50% hp without AF helm and 70% with it. I gotta get this stuff straight haha lol, i might just have to sub my lvl 10 whm today just to try it out now that i got myself all curious |

Poison is 5 mp? That's crazy stuff. 200ish heal for 5 mp, almost not interruptable. That's pretty awesome stuff. Regening 5 mp with even apple juice is easy and fast (15 seconds). ![]() Just have like 5drg/whm or rdm sub and 1 tank, wait for tank to go be at 50% hp and have all 5 spam dia or poison at once ![]() Any tank want to be a guinea pig? Also need 5 drgs with mage subs leveled >_> and their AF helm. |
