Post subject:  SMN, WAR/NIN, NIN/WAR needed for CoP 2-5
Subject pretty much says it all. My old BLM has levelled her SMN (only 33) once in the past month, and I'm sick of waiting...and there goes our WAR as well, since they're boyfriend/girlfriend. With that said, he have me (DRK), Nchynk (RNG), Harnao (RDM or WHM), and maybe Criyu (MNK, possibly BRD or WHM). We definitely need at least one WAR/NIN or NIN/WAR, and either another one or a SMN to kite. If you can help out, please, make my dreams come true! (starry eyed smile) Level Cap 40, of course.

war/nin doesnt work. Only a real nin can because they have high evasion and both utsusemi :(

I'd be willing to give it a shot as smn, but my last 2 attempts were pretty horrid. :? Stupid avatar doesn't generate enough aggro at that level which resulted in the mammet chasing me down whenever I did anything. But hell, I'll give it a go.

theres a very simple way to do this, avatar >> RUN to entrance> blink> avatar>> run to back of arena>>> blink>> rinse repeat

I hate how half the jobs are ineffective for this fight. Apparently Drk can kite one easily with stun if you can't find the other jobs.

And Sygus, all job have their place. It's just that you need 2 that can kite the monster. Any DD are fine to fill the last few space

Yeah well other then the initial buff songs and sticking elegy once in a while Bard is pretty much a healer with low mp in this battle since everyone run around everywhere. But yeah as long as you can tank or kite the 3 I guess you'll be fine even with a bard.

Okay. We have RNG and DRK for sure. Criyu says he's going to do it with his linkshell, so he's out. We also have one SMN, either Mikekirby or Regnar. We absolutely need either a PLD, WAR/NIN, or NIN/WAR as main tank, and we still don't have one. Then we either have a WHM or RDM in Harnao...I don't know well RDM would kite (I know Slow lands, and Stoneskin/Phalanx would be nice), but if RDM DID kite, I don't know how well a SMN/WHM and a RDM/WHM, both kiting, would handle healing for the main party, and that's kinda iffy. If Harnao went as a WHM, the SMN and I could kite, and we'd still have another slot open...think two RNGs would rock, Kaylia? ^^ Give your opinion on what I've said, and see if you've got the funds. But we still need a tank! CALLING ALL TANKS! Wake up! = D

We did it with Kaylia and Lazyazn both as ranger the first time. We had a Ninja on one and a summoner on the other. 2 others were bard and rdm. We didnt suceed on the first try but it worked out in the end.

well a friend of mine went on my account and helped me win 2-5 finally, so if you don't need me it's ok. If you still need my help just send me a tell ingame.

And alderan, I dunno how many times you have done this BC but carbuncle doesn't generate enough aggro, and I dont know how long you have soloed as a smn, but actually using blood pacts and casting blink gets you much more aggro then carbuncle can do at that level.

Not that I know much about being a Summoner, but how would the other avatars do? I saw a video of a SMN doing just fine using Fenrir, but if you don't have him, surely the avatar that matches the elemental day would be good...? Anyway, STILL need a NIN or WAR! C'mon! Someone!

THe key to SMN in this battle is to fight it as if its aquarius or any other mob that you gotta kite with carby. You arent allowed to do anything while in range of the mob, you cant use pacts, etc. once carby is on the mammet, run to a spot where carbys HP bar goes away, recast blink, and wait for carby to die, recast carby, then run to the other side, rinse and repeat. Carby works fine, you just cant do anything to get aggro on it.
