Each job will have new Job Traits added. These traits are possibly added when you reach Lv75, or they are gained through the distribution of Merit Points. The added Job Traits are described below. Warrior: 'Ability Economy', 'Triple Attack', 'Endure' Monk: 'Kick Counter', 'Chakra Effect Up', 'Gather Spirit' White Mage: 'Goddess' Protection', 'Clear Mind V' Black Mage: 'Spirit's Protection', 'Clear Mind V' Red Mage: 'Ability Economy, 'Pierce', 'Fast Cast IV' Thief: 'Thief's Secret', 'Treasure Hunter III', 'Rapid Shot' Paladin: 'Enmity Up', 'Added Bash', 'Phys. Def. Up V' Dark Knight: 'Weapon Knowledge', 'Weapon Drain', 'Phys. Atk. Up V' Beastmaster: 'Beast's Heart/Spirit', 'Auto-Regen' Bard: 'Fast Cast', 'Weapon Aspir' Ranger: 'Pointer', 'Atk. Spd. Up', 'Rapid Shot II' Samurai: 'Settle (?)' Difficult to translate, 'God's Eye', '*no idea*' Ninja: 'Ninja Tool Knowledge', 'Weapon Knowledge', 'Shadow Warrior' Dragoon: 'Wyvern Atk. Spd. Hopefully Shadow Warrior isnt a gay 'evasion up at night' passive trait haha. Would be hot if it made striking a mob give it no tp for 5min or whatever heh. |

WAR's getting triple attack? No EXP pt will leave without a WAR who has that...that will be insane. Clear Mind V for the mages, that sure is a big help. Another level of Fast Cast on RDM, for those who have the AF2 body already...wow. Your spells take effect at what...40% casting time? Jesus. TH3, nuff said. Summoners are getting a very nice deal with Conserve MP AND Auto Refresh II...as if you didn't have enough MP already, this will just be awesome. Finally I feel like merit points are actually able to progress my character to a level substantially beyond a "regular level 75". Who wants to party? I want to save up a few merits for this update. |

They smell fake to me. Then again the WHM ones look so retarded I guess I just want to hope they are fake. Clear Mind V? Who cares. Goddess protection? Whats that another magic resist bonus? Something I can get but never ever notice a difference? anyway these really look fake to me. |

The SE website said that the Merit additions would be Job Abilities, not Job Traits. Over half the stuff on that list are Traits or Trait upgrades. |

Yeah a lot of these traits would really unbalance certain jobs. lol I mean a 75 WAR has enough enmity problems as it is if they're equipped well, giving them triple attack would just be fucking sick. I'm looking at the RDM "abilities and traits" and I'm trying to figure out what they are. Economize, if it worked like the relic "economizer" in Final Fantasy VI, would be fucking sick. Stack that with chainspell. omgggg |

yeah hardly any of these are abilities, theyre all traits but it could be. and yarr, a whms clear mind is like my biggest point to why whm is still good compared to rdm haha rdm get clear mind 2 at level 75 i think. rdm pierce sounds retarted but fast cast is cool, this ability economy thing sounds like a random recycle of job abilities which would be dope for war but dont really see the point if its on rdm too. i dont know SE website said job abilities, the only trait it mentioned was giving sam something new unrelated to merits. was kinda looking forward to what creative abilities theyd come up with for each job. new traits are still dope so either way i think itll be nice. anyway ive got almost 4 or 5 merits saved i forget, hoping to get the max 10 by the time the update hits heh |

SE has made this mistake before (calling Job Traits Job Abilities instead) The Dragoon AF2 Body piece says it gives your wyvern the "support job abilities", but it really gives your wyvern support job traits. (Yes I have seen a wyvern, namely Exo's, double attack before.) |

wtf does drg af2 body do anyway, have either exo or charronne really studied it? or anyone well versed on it? ive always been curious about it for some reason, im always curious on armor that has some kind of bonus asside from +stat, +hp/mp, +acc/att/eva, blah blah plain old crap |

It gives all the job traits of your sub job to your wyvern. If you sub WAR your wyvern gets: Double Attack, Attack Bonus, Defense Bonus, etc If you sub THF your wyvern gets: Treasure Hunter, Evasion Bonus, Resist (i forget which resist they get.. gravity maybe?) There is no way to actually check if you get them. The only one you can see is Double Attack. Exo has used the body piece while doing Guardian Crawler with his wyvern out and gotten a lot more silk thread than when he did it w/o his wyver out and/or the body piece on. Could be just a coincidence. (No i dont stalk exo, just the body piece) |
