Post subject:  CKD, why didnt we ever use TS or ventrilo?
After playing WoW, and noticing how much more organized it is with a client to talk over i was wondering how come we never used that for gods and kirin and Kings and such? I know FFXi you cant alt tab so you cant switch channels but still could all just be in 1 channel. Or does TS or vent not work with FFXI up?

Just wondering, would of been fun to talk to all you guys back then =)

A lot of us use Ventrillo now. I just let it run in the background while playing FFXI.

i can't speak for everyone here, but i think imo it would take away from the actual "roleplaying" thing in this game, don't think everyones interested in what everyone sounds like either =/

I leave it running on my laptop to the side while I play (when I use it that is -- don't kill me Mikey) so dont even need to worry about alt-tab and stuff, cuz I can just look to the side.

I don't talk so much tho because:

A) It's usually 2AM here, don't want to wake the street up.

B) Everyone makes a big deal out of it when I talk cuz of my britishness, lol.

I really like vc - tho at times I'm on all by my lonesome. I sign on even when not in games at times. From a pulling standpoint it has helped tremendously for dynamis.

I love when Mikey comes on. Some of the people don't sound at all like you would expect them to. Well Ket does lol.

WOW you guys got on the boat early. Noodles had a TS server up for i dont know how long... All us that were in AS talked on it alot. God i hated playing ffxi if i could not talk to someone... LOL noodles, seii, trhuls,skyler, DooDee,me, chana BTW she ows me a bird call...., bladenic, unick, and a few others that went on all the time. :wink:
