You can find all information on their site about the windower.

i can';t seem to get it to run in fulscreen w/o being able to run firefox. i guess it makes it purely for the TP/HP/MP thing. and windowed mode just sux for me

Having a windower makes you realize how much NOT having it sucks, i.e., the past two days post-patch. This new version is friggin' AWESOME, and does for us what SE should have done from the beginning. Rock on, Archbell!

Is there some way to keep it from forcing my game into low res? I want it windowed, bit I don't want the eye sore... it puts the res way down and the colors gets kinda dulled out, I tried playing with the gamma, but I can't get it right.

Yeah hobbes, remember the FFXI (Original) resolution is
the resolution the game will be in. Then the windower.ini
will change the start-up size of the window. You can choose
to shrink the game or strech it with the windower.ini settings.

Although i'm not 100% that is how it works on this version.

If that doesnt work, just change the settings in the windower.ini,
that should fix the overall resolution of the FFXI window.


BTW the new version of the windower (error message on exit update)
is now available for download at the same link above. I suggest
just downloading it to keep things updated.

Today, FFXI for windows was once again updated. More measures against 3rd party programs they said...
I'm going to check if windower still works.

Go into i think the configuration file, and it basicly explains it all right there
