I thought this was a very interesting read... I don't know how much weight it holds because this GM was fired. lol From wah I gather he was loved by all NA cause he actually did shit.

Grief Tactics Explained by [GM]Gludd -Hades
Sleeping of bosses Fafnir/Niddogg is allowed only if the Tanks are dead this does not include player disconnects nor does it include waiting for members to arrive to assist the current battle.

If any of the following jobs such as; PLD / NIN / WAR are still alive. Casting the spell "Sleep" is not tollerated for a battle tactic regardlessly, due to the fact you already have more then enough people to continue the fight. This makes only two options left to choose from; Escape and Die.

If any player is Subjob Warrior with the ability to "Provoke" they must take over the role of the Dead Tank to continue the fight ordered by that -GM- who takes the scene.

If not, measures to punish the alliance will be taken which is Warp out of Map. Anonimity will not prevent this type of punishment. If I see if you can't handle the current situation with your current alliance a proper GM should force your alliance to lose. Packet scanners are allowed as long as that player is at his Desk.

You are not allowed to prolong the "Sleep" tactics even if players are weakened. Players must be dead, regardless to use the Sleep Tactic to prevent Monsters from gaining battle Weapon Skill TP. If your alive, you can fight that's the point of Raise, weaken is just a status affect it does not hinder any player from Defending/Assisting a battle alliance.

These are not BCNM with 30minute timers, the battle may last several hours, sorry if your frustrated.

We, are sorry for any frustration you have with SquareEnix PlayOnline services but one day we hope these problems will be solved in future patches, BCNM or ENMs though not likely.

Due to the fact, and slowness of our own GM responses with these issues I regret to say GM handle cases in their own favortisms. Time does pass between these issues, so if we arrive 20-40mins after the problems, we can't help you then.

Hm, interesting. Looks like all thoe WHM/WAR who are coming for an extra voke to help claim are gonna have to tank land kings because they can... you know... take more than 2 hits from them. I mean, I've read stories of RDM/WAR holding fafnir with good damage reduction equipment (Cheviot cape +1...Umbra cape is it?, Jelly ring, maybe a couple pieces of darksteel gear,) and spell interuption down stuff (af1 tabard, torques, etc.) but seriously =/


Wasn't GM Gludd the same guy who basically told Ike to fuck off when he wanted to restore his character? lol

I doubt that came from any GM, especially if it was taken verbatim, since there are a number of spelling and grammar errors along with run-on sentences and mispunctuations. Looks like it was written by a twelve year old.

another famous one is klyptem. but hes not always on ifrit... hes assigned to 3 other servers as well. but every once and a while.. you can catch him by sending a /tell kylptem. hes pretty cool

Gludd and Klyptem were both fired.

IMO, they were both very down to earth, and power trip free. It's a shame SOE would take two great GM's and fire them, especially when they work 10x harder then other GM's

I talked to a GM last week about something and he kept miss spelling things and F??king up works lol. like "Waht" and "when was this/" i was confused,

thats friggen retarted.. i met klyptem a long time ago when i was testing the GM's patience. i forget what happened but like 10 minutes later we were talking about IRL stuff. lol <3 killuminati

The new [GM]'s and ones who still have there job do work... they play SWG all day... and talk on AIM... while using a windower type "3rd party" program... Kinda shitty for NA players, because you know JP [GM]'s actually do there job.

Haha my RL friend logged out before the GM was finished talking to him and he didn't hear how long he was suspended. He thought he was banned, but a few days later he found he could log back in. Well after that he got banned anyway for basically doing the same thing.. what a jackass.

lol i got jailed 1 time for zoninig while kraken was charmed >_> some1 called a GM while i was going up stairs i got ported i thought it was a game ..to my surprise i found out i unintentionally MPK'd some1 ; ;
