rng dmg sucks so much now, even at best position against higher lvl mobs the dmg is shit

on golems i was doing 120 a shot w/ a brd double min
sunday night i was doing 140 a shot w/o a brd
..........................................

on weapons i was doing at most 200 a shot and 14xx ws but MUST be at the right spot or the dmg is SHIT
not that bad but we lose out on melee and chance to skill axe lazily....
man i would hate to see how poor ill be on kirin

yea I was reading on Allakhazam.com and some rng wearing Osode, Obow, S. Kotes, and maxed Marksmenship and Squid +1 was hitting for 30ish dmg w/ Sidewinder hitting for roughly 150. He switched to E. Bow and Demons and was hitting 35-40 w/ sidewinder doing 150 and then did ES for 250 dmg....

RNG damage is probably fine against normal chained VT type exp mobs.

But either way, Slug Shot is reportedly 1/2 damage at melee range, which is a realy big nerf lol.

So now RNG is actually equal to other jobs for the most part, and to you actually have to put some thought into your position and other dynamics. So it takes skill not just equip to play the job well? Is that the problem? God forbid you cant just throw gil at the job and be good at it :roll: .

I'm sure there are people who will stick with the job and take the time to figure out the dynamics of positioning, and be able to play the job well still. Maybe in a bit when these are known/figured out the job will seem more appealing again.

on VT ok sure our dmg is what was the old thing at the right range, but once we move and shit... fuck lol

and uh rangers b4 patch was 3rd or 4th DD...
its from what i know for sure is war>nin>rng and mnk in the mix between nin and war or before that- never parsered with a war and mnk together before on a no advantage situation...

now even my thf can soundly out do my rng on IT mobs, im not fucking kidding it was close before neck to neck before patch by chance one would do better then the other before but now... oye...

rng damage vs hnm was too much compared to other jobs, they needed a cap or nerf of some sort anyhow, i think its pretty good haha, sad when 2 rng at kirin vs 0 can make the difference between a 2 hour fight and a 1 hourfight
