What does that mean? You have to engage and hit a mob with your weapons now to claim it? Don't see how it would mean the end of botting.. |

you have to wait a few minutes after it rendors for it to be claimable. and they made it so if you say provoke it before its ready to be claimed, you will have a xx amount of time cooldown before you can try and use provoke. meaning bots will spam it at first then be useless because of cool down on ability. |

If players attempt to use spells or abilities to claim a monster before a set amount of time has passed since it appeared, they will not be able to use those spells etc. again for a certain duration. what exactly is that mean? or am I failing reading comprehension today o.o??? I read the JP version also... and it looks the same... nvm: read the post above |

Edited because I misread this... but I'm still skeptical as to how much this will help things. I guess we will see in two hours or so. Quote: King Arthro / Simurgh / Roc / Serket / Capricious Cassie /Lord of Onzozo / Behemoth / King Behemoth / Adamantoise / Aspidochelone / Fafnir / Nidhogg
*This time period will vary for each notorious monster. lol I like this change. /blockaid also sounds nice. |

And if you use a spell or ability when it first pops before the timer is up; you have to wait for the spell/ability to "cool down". Pretty hot imo. |

what i was wondering about is this /blockaid would that be to stop the sp + cure v to spike flail or steal hnm? or to stop cure bombing when trying to claim? |

Quote: "/blockaid" has the following effect:
Magical assistance (such as "Cure" and "Protect"), trades, party invites etc. from non-party/alliance characters will be blocked. so wait, we can only get pt invites from party/alliance characters? that doesnt make sense. |

think of /blockaid as /blacklist except it blocks the action of the person you /blockaid'ed hccmike> Dood stop curing me, I'm trying to solo this leaping lizzy reinheld casts cure V on hccmike hccmike> /blockaid reinheld reinheld casts cure V on hccmike cure V have no effect on hccmike reinheld casts cure V on hccmike cure V have no effect on hccmike reinheld casts cure V on hccmike cure V have no effect on hccmike |

When you try to claim something too early, your action is probably going to get paralyzed and you will lost it for a few sec. It will be a lotery game of who get the first voke after the NM's cooldown end since there is probably no clue to figure how long it last with bot. It could be really good depending how long this "cooldown" is and if it can really give everyone an equal chance at NM. About /blockaid seifier. The command just prevent people from outside alliance. There is many situation where "healing" someone can harm him more than help him. ie: Casting poisona after someone drink a poison potion to prevent sleep, curing someone and using invincible to grab hate and run out of range (making everyone disengage make mob goes unclaimed) etc. |

If that cooldown period is randomly decided, this would be even better If the color stays yellow the whole time, thats probably better too.. since jp would prob see the color change first.. or PS players |

Put it this way... Behemoth pops. Player A immediately, by reflex hits Provoke, while behemoth sits in his "Unclaimable" state. Player A's Provoke is nullified, the monster is not claimed, and Player A is no longer able to use Provoke until X amount of time has passed. Behemoth, after a small period of time (10 seconds maybe?) will return to a claimable state (Yellow) and be open to all players to grab. Player B hits Provoke after it turns yellow, he recieves no penalty, and the monster is caimed for his alliance. Basically. You can no longer spam a monster to claim it when it pops. It's still "fastest finger first" but not until the monster is visible to all players in the area and returns to a "claimable" state. And if you "jump the gun" with trying to claim it, you will lose your chance to claim. Additionally, the /blockaid will prevent people outside alliance from "helping" you in any way. This means people outside your alliance will not be able to trade with you, cast cure's on you, or even poisona you. (I've heard of people using Poisona on people who drink Poison Potion for Cassie) All I have to say is.... It's about freaking time. But it's still awesome either way. |
