![]() This morning, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was delayed till sometime near the end of the fiscal year, March 31st, 2006. This comes as a crushing blow to us Gamecube and Zelda fans, as this release date leaves us without a great holiday seller. Nintendo has cited the reasons behind the delay being to add more content and quality to the game, but this recent screenshot reveals the true reason. As you can see, Link recently obtained {sea} access, and is swimming around like a retard trying to avoid aggro. Link has been reported several times claiming to be Level 11. Is it currently unknown how he beat the notoriously difficult CoP BCs or even if he beat them at all; recent reports have hinted that his romantic interest, Zelda, has l33t haX0r skillz. Seriously, though, this sucks. I was SO looking forward to Z:TP this year... |

ok umm. Everyone was looking at this game to throw off steam from the lanch of xbox 360. With this outta of the way, its possible 360 will do really well this holiday season. Unless sony decides on doing another price drop on the ps2. |

Im proud that nintendo would rather delay the game to keep the quality up than throw it out the door to try and cock block MS |

Agreed. I can't wait for this game to come out (I'm a Nintendo and Zelda fan) but I would rather them spend more time perfecting it. FFXI can hold us over til then hehe. I can't see the screenshot you posted =/ Red X. |

Xbox 360 doesn't deserve to do well. Push whatever shit you can churn out as early and fast as possible: that's the xbox motto. The PS2 released early and sold like hotcakes, so they're just carbon copying their strategy. omfg but 1million bits! 1 million! |

Original post edited to show picture from Photobucket, not rpgamer.com. I agree with Nintendo's (VERY) long-standing policy of delaying games they feel they need to, but this game has been in development for at least two full years...it's extremely disappointing to me to have to wait even longer. And, of course, I hope X-box 360 bombs. God I hate Microsoft. |

Yea i'd rather the game be a quality game. But what always worries me is that nintendo has a tendency of pushing games back all the time. Its really hurt their business. Plus this holiday season, nintendo literally has nothing worthwhile to show. |

And, of course, I hope X-box 360 bombs. God I hate Microsoft. It was already said the 360 will be MS's last attempt. In all reality xbox was not profitable at all.. I think just recently it made a couple of mil in profits. Just recently though, and considering 360 is on its way. The little money they did make with xbox goes to the shitters now. |

except for the DS. It's going online ^^. But yeah, fuck Microsoft for serious. I think this xbox 360 is going to cost a bundle and they'll shove the price down everyone's throat because they scambled to release their piece of shit next gen first. |

Xbox 360 release price will be $300-$350. PS3 reported release price will be $500. |

Bleh we won't know how good any of those system's are to be honest until the games are released and we play them. The cost of the next gen systems looks crappy, but I will still find a way to own all of them. I just hope the games coming out actually have innovations gameplay wise... not just pretty graphics. Right now the Xbox360 has actual beta machines out and people are playtesting games on a beta model of the actual system. PS3 has no hardware yet and all the games were shown on PC hardware... Nintendo has just release features and no specs. Really the next gen systems are a big unknown... I just hope this next Zelda game is good and that FFXII doesn't suck. |

Sure it pisses off the ppl that have been waiting forever to get the game, but they end up buynig the game anyways. And would you want to play a game thats halfassed through the final stages? in the end, you are a happier customer

If I have to choose between a quick-release unpolished game or a delayed polished one, I'll take the latter...but I can still be disappointed that it was delayed in the first place... ; ; The X-box 360, cursed be its name, will unfortunately sell well this holiday season. Very few of us could be considered "casual" gamers, which are Microsoft's primary target audience, you know, the frat-boy beer-drinking retards who obsess over the Halos and the Maddens and the GTAs, even though they're the same game, year after year, with nothing more than superficial upgrades. Those people will purchase the 360, regardless of its launch lineup or actual graphical prowess, which, by the way, doesn't look too impressive. Launch sales are mostly due to brand loyalty. The timespan AFTER that actually has to do with the quality of gameplay experience, so hopefully, Microsoft will finally die and Nintendo will reclaim some of its lost market share. Z:TP's release date, however, is approaching the time when Revolution will begin to get ready for launch. I wonder how that'll play out...at least the Rev is backwards compatible. |

thats because the rev is coming out fall next year. Thats how they'll pull it off. |

the last zelda was released in spring to massive success. Nintendo isn't one to rush a masterpiece like zelda. |

Wind Waker had its problems...sailing took too long and was boring, the whole "find the 7 shards of the triforce" portion...but it was still a classic Zelda game, and featured the most developed story and battle system yet. It was too short, however, and the bosses (minus the final battle, which I consider to be the greatest in gaming history) were lackluster. Still worth playing, though, and it's only twenty bucks now... |

i really should finish it though. I've always loved zelda games. I love the feeling of going into a new town and finding out what people's troubles were. LOL i don't know i just found it exciting. I also loved the final battle on the 64. Which btw i really should play again too. ACk all this talk about these games are making me want to go back play them all over again. |

I'd prefer a longer sailing experience than a short one. Besides, those cyclones made everything faster anyways. Sans the Triforce part (which miyamoto apologized for) Wind Waker was inspired. |

Remember how long Perfect Dark was delayed? Nintendo treats there products like a clingy mother when its time for their software's release. But then again that was Rare. Meh. |
