This expansion looks so promising. No level capped missions either ! =) Chocobo Racing, Breeding, new mog Lockers for more space, etc.

I don't know why they are adding more avatars although im not complaining because odin is really cool, but its not at all needed and will just draw more unwanted noobs to the job to further shame good summoners

BUT. Prime bloodpacts FINALLY as well as Cacodemonia for diabolos. and smn skill actually will do something now, glad mine capped itself after 2 years of summoning lmao

I can't believe they pull this uneeded stuff for smn but leave drg completely alone. . .seriously SE come on. . .

I'm thinking they're going to try to add Avatars that are actually somewhat useful to keep out and melee with them, based upon what SE said about SMN at the Developer Panel.

Not all avatars have to be summonable madi heehee.
The avatars are supposed to be almost like sub-gods to protect different relms of vanadiel. And there's like 50 of them accoding to the star charts.
So i wouldn't be surprised iif we eventually meet them all.
I"m a little surprised though that it wasn't Odin and Alexander, as I thought Odin and Cerberus were kinda on the same line.

I agree with Madisonlee on SMN. I don't think it's fair that some job are being left out like DRG, while other like SMN constantly get nice stuff.

peopel are just assuming that it's going to be summonable. They could purely be story. Remember when everyone was going off how Bahamut was going to be the next SMN?? Didn't happen. Hell diablos didn't even get added as a smn for a very long time in the expansion if you think about it. Just don't go jumping to conclusions yet til we see about things like Avatars, and lets have the rumor mill get going on the specualtions of Puppetmaster! And if Necromancer was such a great idea to most poeple, and was a pet job, then why is Puppetmaster such a bad one when we don't know much about it yet?

They said there would be new summon. Well, there is always the possibility they were talking about other summon, and those two will be for story, but it's not really different.


As for bahamut, whoever cried to get it can die. :) With his size, it's obvious he was only there for story. It's almost like beastmaster asking to have wyrm and behemoth pet.

I'm still thinking it's going to be lame. Gotta look at it this way too. Omg look new Town you just ahve to do a simple 7 hour quest to go there. Do not foget about Tav safehold. How little use that and how hard it is to unlock. The new jobs seem so blah as well. Honestly it looks so repeditive. In that trailor i swear i saw mainly Windy and Boya tree just replaced. Still alof of broken things in FFXI still needing to be fixed.

I spent more time in CoP area than anywhere else after CoP was released. I was going to jeuno maybe twice a month, unless I needed a quest/mission from there.

I just got back from the Event and OMFG it was amazing

Few myths that were dispelled:

THIEFS DO NOT HAVE TO BE LAST HIT FOR TREASURE HUNTER TO BE ACTIVATED

When asked:

"Does the Lucky Egg or Four Leaf Mandragora bud are eaten or in your inventory, does it affect TH."

Answer: If you believe that, then your dreams will come true. (Literal answer.)

Developers are actually going into Atomos server to try to defeat Absolute Virtue with normal gear/scenerios (they beat him once, but they took no HP damage) because many questions were about AV because people were pissed so they are actually going to try to beat it.

Job Trait Changes:

PLD was probably the biggest move with Auto-Refresh and Provoke as a main job ability (this was in the "maybe" portion but they seemed very determined on it.)

WHM being able to syphon their own MP and HP to another character in the party. Changes to Benediction so it removes all status effects as well as HP.

BLMs are NOT being nerfed but added benifits will be added to the BLM if they are in a diverse party (rather than Manaburn pts).

NINS and DRG and SAMs will not see any changes to recent updates.

Puppetmasters look like they suck (we say it and BLU duo a BCNM)

Corsair and its Card Ability is absolutely a support job. With a Crosair and a Warrior in the party a corsair can mimic the "Double Attack" job trait from the WAR and give it to the rest of the party INCLUDING the WAR (added % proc).

BRDs will see a low lvl Mazurka.

RNG Sharpshot will negate any distance to damage ratio.

MNKs will see better proficiencies in different weapons.

WARs will get a throwing axe ability.

Besiged:

Basically enimies attack Art Urgat and you have to defend it but you can also go to Beastman Strongholds and defeat the enimies as they do to you. THE LEVEL OF THE ENIMIES THAT ATTACK THE TOWN ARE BASED ON HOW MANY STRONGHOLD KILLS YOU HAVE. So if you dont attack the stronghold they will be stronger because they have more time to rally their troops. You lose no xp in Besiged (I actually played this at the fan festival and it was fun)

Assault:

Didnt give too much info except that it is designed for 3-6 Pt members

Chocobo Breeding:

Yes, youll be able to breed your own chocobos and race them. Colours will vary with the birds (not a ton of info on that one either).

I probably missed out on some stuff so stay tuned as I remember more.
