That would be a great business strategy if they didn't just totally ignore the immense popularity of the Apple iPod, which they did. Between their RAZRs and iPods, people wanted a pure gaming handheld that was affordable. By trying to diversify to every market they could think of, Sony drove up the price of their PSP and drove it away from its core use, which is gaming.
