Square-Enix's Senior Vice President and Executive Producer of the Mana series, Koichi Ishii, has spoken about his company's role with Nintendo in the next-generation, and his comments were promising. To start off, he confirmed the Virtual Console would definately be supported - all that needed to be done was to confirm the titles they'd be making available.

A new Mana title for the Wii, apparently has tremendous potential, Ishii said, as he commented he was actively pursuing development on one.

As for Children of Mana on the DS, the US version will be identical to the Japanese original, and won't support gameplay over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

other than Secret of Mana, the Mana series has never really impressed me.

I thought Legend of Mana for PS1 was bad, and Sword of Mana for GBA was mediocre. I hope they bring the series back to the standard set by Secret of Mana, but I have my doubts.

I really liked Secret and Legend of Mana. Those are the only 2 I have played.

I also liked Secret of Evermore..kinda a Mana like game lol.
