There has been a surge in games this christmas with Wii, PS3 and Xbox fighting it out. I personally have a big stack of games Im trying to get through. I was just wondering how many other people are working through a stack of games also.


Right now mine is set like this.


Mostly Playing : Gears of War
Secondary Game : Zelda:TP
Games I need to finish.
FFXII
Excite Truck
Rayman Wii
Monkey Ball Wii
Gun (for 360, its my non gamer friends favorite game, I promised id play it through)


Thats it for me. Im leaving out the tons of games I havent even bought yet like ninty-nine nights, Dead Rising, Burnout Revenge, like 100 FF games for GBA and DS.

He had an HD TV didnt he? My friend has Xbox 360 and hes never been happy with it. I keep telling him its because he plays it on a crappy tube TV with no HD. Lasts night he was telling me about how he got Gears of War and couldnt understand why everyone was getting a boner over the visual graphics.

Yeh he was on an hd with the 480p setting or w/e. I have no idea what all this hd and settings crap is but I know the kid did say it was hd, and it was hot! The board(s) with water is intense i could sit there just staring at the water

Get a fucking VGA adapter and use your monitor with your 360. That can do 720p on a monitor in GoW. Try that before you buy a HDTV. The resolution difference is huge between 480p and 720p. Its like 640x480 vs 1024x768 pretty much.

You need to play Gears of War in HD to get the full experience. It's the best looking HD game out there. I agree with Eternus, get the VGA and use your computer monitor if you don't have an HDTV.

I actually stopped playing Gears of War. Too many other games out there!

I'm going through old games I never finished because of FFXI and replaying old games I finished. I recently replayed FF9 and I'm on chapter 3 of FF Tactics, that linkshell thread got me playing pokemon red again haha. Replaying WILD ARMS right now. I need to also finish Suikoden 3 and 4, WILD ARMS 2, Devil May Cry 3, Resident Evil 4, Metroid Prime 2, among others. Once Christmas comes it's Portrait of Ruin, Twilight Princess (if I can find a wii), Dawn of Sorrow, then continuing with mre old games I never finished.

I'm set for a while haha. Next year for the DS we'll get Zelda: Phantom Hourglass which will surely trigger me to replay Wind Waker, and as a matter of fact I now remember I need to finish Majora's Mask.

I have a 360 without an hd. I think its are great, of course ive played it at my friend's houses that have hd's and its clearly a better picture. But the system is still a great system and i'm very happy with it with just a normal tv. As for games im currently playing:

HD has a bearing on the resolution Mikey. I know you don't play in 640x480 anymore on your PC. Higher resolutions take advantage of the more detailed textures and effects of today's consoles. Standard Def is fine if you have never gamed in HD. Really playing in SD on my 360 looks horrible compared to HD. The graphics is all dependent on the console and the resolution its pushing the game at. You should use a monitor. I use a damn monitor right now in my room for my 360, looks 10 times better than on my regular 32 inch TV.
