Sony is getting desperate haha

Quote:
Harrison went on to target the touch screen feature of Nintendo's handheld, stating that, 'It’s fair to say that Nintendo stepped out of the technical race and went for a feature differentiation with the touch screen. But I fear that it won’t have a lasting impact beyond that of a gimmick - so the long-lasting appeal of the platform is at peril as a direct result of that.'

I own 3 DS games, Castlevania DoS, AW:DS, and FFIII, and I've hardly ever used the touchscreen for anything. Sony acts like it's a gimmick that defines the system, but my favorite games hardly utilize it. I prefer the classic controls over the touchscreen.

Quote:
'Nintendo knows its target audience, because it has really narrowed that down,' continued Harrison. 'It’s pretty much defined by a boy or girl’s ability to admire Pokémon.'

Someone should send a memo to sony: if you try to include kids in your marketing strategy, you'll make a ton of money. They are in it for the money aren't they?

alot of sony's reps should't be allowed to speak, especially with how arrogant they tend to sound. You are only paying attention to the systems touch screen, then yes its a gimmick. But the ds isn't about that entirely, it has freaken 2 screens and has a battery that is actually built to last.

Sony shouldnt be taking any stabs at nintendo, especially when they are being slaughtered in comparsision with worldwide slaes.

I still refuse to say psp sucks, because IMO it doesn't. It merely appeals to older age groups. Pokemon is pokemon, it attracts children but has also attracted teens and adults alike. Nintendo likes making games that appeal to everyone, hence why the market will always have a place for them.

I just got back from a week vacation irl. Two of my friends brought PSPs. I really want one now! The graphics are sweeet. I will still favor the DS but I have no problem owning both. I wanna play some of the PSP games.

My DS top screen broke yesterday. I was playing FFIV advance on the top screen (first time playing GBA game on DS). The game looked great compared to on my GBA because it was a lot brighter and more colorful. About an hour into the game the top screen turned green and started distorting. I reset the DS and put in a DS game. Same problem. Top screen has a green hue and shows vertical lines a different shade of green all the way across. Thankfully I got it at Costco in June...I'm gonna see if I can exchange it. Costco is normally amazing with that stuff.
