So, anyone else currently playing Hotel Dusk? It's probably the most interesting and mature (not as in nudity or violence) DS that's come out. You hold the DS on its side like a book, ala Brain Age, but the game has so much depth to it and the touch screen interaction is damn near perfect. The overall story is incredibly engaging, and the hotel itself can be examined to the most minute detail. In fact, if you were to look at two of the same object in different rooms, you get different descriptions. The ambiance of the game and the amount of reading/talking you do makes the whole experience feel like an interactive novel.
And contrary to CliffyB's statements about games about talking, Hotel Dusk is probably the best example of how a game that's pretty much based entirely in text can work. And do it well. But, also, since most people don't like to read even in RPGs, they may stay away from the game. That's about the only negative, and that mostly relies on the player as a person rather than as a gamer.
