I used to have 2 vcrs stacked on top of eachother, i used to be heavy into video bootlegs of the bands i really loved so i was constantly trading. The keyboard being dirty is mostly because I smoked constantly around it (weed and cigs) I also always ate and drank at the keyboard..

that particular keyboard was so beat-up that most of the "high traffic" letters were entirely worn off which is why if you look close the r button has something white on top of it.. that's a r i drew on a piece of paper and taped on top of the letter key so i had some sort of point of reference (yeh i still haven't memorized key locations and i still type with my 2 index fingers staring at the keyboard.. kill me) Also, I had keys constantly sticking from spilling beer on them every night (never rice and beans though)

but I dunno, I guess I must just be a messy, dusty bastard cuz the one at my job is pretty filthy too.. shit man, doesn't my company pay people to come around and clean these fucking things?!

and deejay that's the same pic I always post, I haven't logged into ffxi (other than to cancel my content ids recently) in like 3-4 months+

also, no one pointed out the capote dvd and the bag of weed sitting there.. shame shame

Took it back to Best Buy and opened up the new one on the spot because I had Viva Pinata stuck in the old one. They took the power block from the new one and got my game and then I asked if I could switch the hard drives, the lady looked at me confused and I just performed the action then and there and said if it still malfunctioned I'd drive back to pick up the (newer) hard drive that I just left with the old system. Got home everything worked out great, game saves and all. My Elite stands up but I may start laying it down over some DVD boxes underneath it balanced in the middle so it can get proper ventilation throughout. Overall I really think it was a faulty power block but still unsure. And yea, I feel trapped into buying a piece of shit system in order to play quality games such as Forza, Halo 3, BioShock, Gears, Assassin's Creed, etc.

Still have the 2 year warranty still in full effect as well as the additional 30 days store policy but I find it absolutely sad that a system can go kaput after exactly 2 weeks.

the crazy thing whisp. Is that it hasn't hurt sales all that much. It may eventually bite them in the ass though. Especially since the ps3 is getting a hell of alot more aggressive in sales now.

i'll buy a ps3 when ffxi-2 or ffxiii comes out and the system is like 300 bucks.. same thing I did for ps2 I didn't buy one til gta came out and the systems were going for like 100 bucks

and whatever, so some 360s burnout and need to be replaced, at least ms is extending warranties and have pretty frickin good customer service from what I've experienced first-hand. I don't know if I can say the same for sony when a lot of their first gen ps2s had tons of problems as well (least we forget) and ps2 was in like EVERY household.

but w/e i guess I'm biased so take my opinion as just that

In fact the issue was happening so frenquently that studies where showing that the damage ratio was about high as 45% of all systems. As for the ps2, yes it happened. It was repaired though, it wasn't outright denied. Not sure if you noticed but since the 360 came out it was plagued with the issue, and microsoft although they did repair them....denied that the issue was serious. They denied that hundreds of thousands of customers where having trouble. Flat out DENIED IT. They were only worried about there bottom line. And only reason why they extended the warrenty was because they couldn't afford to lose out this holiday season.

Nobody is perfect. I won't deny sony doesn't have its faults. But like come on.. Denying a problem for almost 2 years when alot of us are witnesses to how horribly designed the 360 was. Isn't a good thing. And don't pull that fiasco about the ps3 denial act of god thing thats been going around lol.

That kid should be ashamed of himself. He got pissed off because sony refuses to fix his ps3. Its under warranty yes... Sony refused to repair the system due there own warranty policy. He even got on fox news trying to the media to back him. Sony says it won't repair it because its too dusty and presents a hazard to the techinician. Of course the kid doesn't let everyone know how fucking dusty the system is. The ps3 is only 1 year old as of now and his looked like its been outside in a trash heap for 10 years and only been played outside in the woods. Its so bad that sony actually had to take pictures to show everyone. Neglecting it and treating it like shit was his fault. You do that with a 360 and it'll last a week.
