Woot :D Xenosaga II beaten.

All GSes cleared except for 3 - the water factory one and the ones revolved around Erde Kaiser (and of course that stupid lady that you have to beat by talking to her after all 36 or whatever are complete).

Also missing last 2 decoders, still gotta fight the water boss to get the key for the Erde Kaiser body then I'll have the whole robot.

Also, just cleared the Desert in the Encephalon Dive... Heavens' Ruins is next I believe, and can't remember the name of the next area.

My characters are level 55~ and all my ES are level 52~ so far (except for Jin and Ziggy because I sacrificed them to level my other characters). I also RAPED the last boss haha... I got 3 boosts before going into the fight (his 2nd form) and I used 2 boost maxes I had saved up, charged my bar up to 5, quicked all 3 of my characters and slapped up Aura Sword on him, used Jr. to break, boosted to chaos, grounded him, and pounded him over and over with all my characters and with the boost bar at 5 I got the AC Aura to about x30 so each attack ended up doing about 3k+ dmg per hit, so he only lasted a couple of rounds, and I got super lucky and landed the x10 skill point slot on the death shot, which was a pretty amazing turnout... too bad I need more class points to really make use of 'em and still need a couple of the secret keys. Nice having 3 characters with like 30k though lol

Oh yeah I still have that one to do... it's about half way there, I just found the mobs that you can steal decently expensive items from and Psycho Pocketed a ton of them, I'll get it complete sooner or later, I think I have like 5.8 or so left if I remember

And yeah, I loved Xenosaga II because it revolved around Jr. a lot and he's my favorite character, just as Billy was from Xenogears.. <3 the gunslingers in games :P

The ending was awesome though. I LOVED the very end part with Wilhelm and Abel's Ark, that was amazing I thought. Storyline ties so much into religion it's not even funny.

Also, just out of a weird speculation, I think that Wilhelm is going to turn out to be the Emperor (the one that Citan constantly talked to in Xenogears). In Episode 1 he played a fairly big part and was in a good bit of scenes, and seemed like a good guy, but I think it's pretty sweet that he's just manipulating everyone behind the scenes of everything and only intervening when he needs too.. also curious as to what his relationship is with chaos.

Just a little tips to pay Matthew's dept (I started a new game only to try it )

Orgulla has two forms, one of them (the normal one/green sword) has Awakening II and get a new one every time she switch back to it. This mean you can steal her 21 time and pay back your dept very early in the game.

The only other effecient way I've found is to steal item from patriarch, one at time...but it takes like forever.

Abel's ark was nice, I just wish charater would react a little more to it. Beside chaos and Wilhelm, it's like nobody cared about this huge thing:? But beside that, it was cool. I really wonder what is the true purpose of this thing


I'm not sure how to explain it correctly, but I don't think the Emperor is the exact equivalent of Wilhelm. Krellian and Miang were the one manipulating everything behind the scene. Beside, Krellian's goal was similar to the one Wilhelm is hinted to have (I'm not going to go in detail over this, but there is a couple of hint that's what he wanted), to make the world "evolve" from the material plane to the spiritual plane.

Religious reference, and the relation with what we known from XG is what make XS so interesting to me.

Abel/Ziggy's stepson (pratically confirmed in the cellphone game)
Project Messiah (Related to Ziggy's wife )
Order vs Chaos (Wilhelm vs Chaos)

Throw here and there reference to the eternal's recurrence, Gnosticism, kabbalist and Jung's pseudoscientifical babbling and you get the huge huge puzzle that is XS.

Desert was a fun area. That one boss was annoying though, he was fast as hell lol.. I ended up just filling boost gauge before hand, aura sworded both the AGWS' up and raped him with E.S. Dinah and E.S. Zebulun... Asher wasn't very useful, but Dinah an Zebulun could pump out about 9k per hit.

I liked xenosaga I but i never beat it...movies were so long and so many areas, good rpg system though. Whats the storyline in II about without using spoilers?

The story line of II without spoilers is pretty straight forward.

You start the beginning of the game as chaos and a new sub-character I'd say, 14 years ago during the Old Miltia incident (when the song of Nephilim struck).

After you go through that, you also meet Shion's brother, Jin, who joins the troup. It's basically just what you should expect it to be after that though - a sequel. It takes off right where the last one ended.

It's pretty hard to explain much else without ruining anything though.

Sounds good i loved first one but really long and time consuming, I'm in the second tower of the tower of the song of nephilim where you get Momo's Kiss ether or w/e. The main problem is each fight you in takes like 5 mins now unless you got x-beam on high. I'm going to beat it this weekend and make some time maybe get #2
