Eh my friends used to argue with me that Genesis was better than SNES. I had a friend George who was the only person I knew with a Sega Master System and he would always try to convince me that Phantasy Star 2 was better than Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior. People argued Sega vs Nintendo and every other generation of console systems pretty much. The never ending arguments over Neo-Geo lol. How fast the Saturn vs PS vs N64 competition changed etc. It was always a debate.

MS will need Mistwalker to play a big role in how well 360 sells to RPG gamers. If they make a FF quality RPG like they have in the past then that will help out 360 considerably. Otherwise they will have no FF game and will have to solely rely on Bioware to make amazing games. There seems to be more 360 games so far that are actually exclusive like Gears of War seems to be. That might come out for the PC eventually, just like Metal Gear Solid games have came out for the Xbox a while after PS2. MS won't be getting FF at all from SE, but they did buy out the creator of FF to make games. IMO Xbox360 will depend on how well the Mistwalker games do to scratch more of the PS3's market.

I have always loved Nintendo, and I think they are poised to "win" this generation of consoles just due to the fact their system comes out at a more accessible price point and is attempting to do something different gameplay wise. They aren't even trying for graphical superiority which is fine, my only problem is not supporting at least 480p for Wii. The usual classic Nintendo franchises will probably all end up as good to great games and that makes the console something worth getting just for Nintendo's first party games.

My NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, DS, and 5 generations of Gameboy are testament to this fact.

Probably get a wii next year and never buy another non-nintendo system, game systems are not meant to cost $600. Even the promise of ace combat and final fantasy can't make me buy that shit, and I've never been interested in xbox either (besides top spin tennis and star wars).

BTW I tried one online match last night, It was the greatest. It was 3v3 elimination, and at the end it was me and one guy left. He chainsawed everyone down thinking he was funny. So he starts to run after me and I know he is going to try to do the same to me. So i let him run towards me then I roll out of the way as he gets to me, then come up behind him and chainsaw the back of his head off for the win. LOL so great, people were talking shit on the voice chat after that.

But seriously, I have like 3 games I need to be playing right now, but I cant stop playing GoW on xbox live. This is seriously gonna be the 360s "Halo" game (As in, this is the only reason people are gonna buy 360's in alot of cases)

I've been playing gears on and off for the last couple of weeks, was forced to buy the speical edition because regular was sold out everywhere. I'm on act 3, the game is amazing, and the graphics are great. the only single qualm that i have is that there is no crosshair when not in first person targeting mode. and that part in Act 1 with the berserker had me sweating.

Sirfalas i did a LAN co-op on the Berserker, and that shit was SOOO much fun with another person. Most intense part of an FPS I have probably ever played haha. I'm working on beating that game on Insane atm.

400 bucks for the only one worth buying (with the harddrive). Then you pay 60 bucks for GoW and activate XboxLive for ????. I would have to get another controller or two since a couple of my friends would want to play and they don't have 360s. Either that or make those bums buy controllers themselves. Not sure if I want to spend that much, even though I could afford it atm.

50 dollars a year for xbox live

Thats not too horrible considering the times I used XboxLive on my friends account it worked well. The only bad news is there was a leak on Gamespot that said Gears of War will be released on PC. That game is more designed with consoles in mind from what I hear. Hopefully it would come across better than Halo did on PC, the people that ported that sucked ass.

The system comes with a 30 day trial of Xbox Live Gold, and Gears includes a 2 day trial, so before you spend 50 bucks you could try it. Gears has a bit of a learning curve though so it might be awhile before you feel confdent enough to co op.

I beat Marvel Ultimate alliance last night too >.> Only character i have left to unlock is Silver Surfer. (if you use the code you lose the acheivment [sp].)

Ive seen the 360 with alot of different bundles but at the same price as the premium system. I've seen some with a free PGR 3 game, some with GRAW and Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged.

5 AM to 11 AM only. Hope you live somewhere tropical.

I bought GoW and a 360 a few days ago actually. The game isn't exactly easy starting out, but its really fun. Trying to finish up FFXII at the moment. I will get FFXI for the 360 as well. All they need is WoW for 360. I read MS has a recent download for 360 that allows upconversion to 1080p, thats pretty good. The HD-DVD player you can buy for 360 also attaches to a PC through USB and software available on the net. I am not that big of a movie person so I wouldn't get the HD-DVD player myself. I haven't activated XboxLive yet or anything.

I am thinking about getting the HD DVD player for my 360. I just bought a 50" DLP 1080p Samsung and want to see HD DVDs on it. The HD DVD player I want is expensive >_> 360 can hold me over until then.

I also want to see Gears of War. I hear it looks great at 1080i. My TV won't upconvert to 1080p unless I use HDMI It would be cool if they made native 1080p games for 360. When are they going to make HDMI for XBOX360?
