Kefka wouldn't have lasted 10 minutes in FFIV.

See: avatar.

FFVI has the very best world map theme of the FFs.

Yeah I am buying FFVI advanced for my DS (since it can play GBA games and I don't use my GBA SP anymore). Might as well pick up FFV and FFIV advance as well since I missed those.

I called EBGames to make sure FFVI came in today (it's an hour drive so gotta be positive) and the guy makes it sound like only people who pre-ordered will be able to get it today, and apparently it's coming as its own delivery. I imagine it will be delivered by a little japanese guy with a big steel suitcase handcuffed to his wrist. It's 2pm and it's not in the store yet. I pre-ordered though so eh, I'm in. Gonna head out in about 2 hours and probably get FFV while I'm there (at the Toys R Us across the highway lol).

FFV was part of TRU's big video game sale for the end of the year. I got a number of medicore games (Xenosaga 2, Steambot Chronicles) while it was going on that I originally missed out on. So, depending on if there's alot of gamers in the area.

What sucks is that I fucking hate EB/Gamestop because they blatantly rip off their customers and randomly mark up the price of games. Like, EB/GS weren't taking preorders on Hotel Dusk because of limited quantities... and I was like, "Isn't that the point of pre-orders?" I promised myself that FFVI is the last game I buy from that company.

So I call local gamestops in Atlanta to find a copy of FFVI Advance. The guy checks around for a second.

Gamestop employee: "we got 2-3 copies left, you had better get over here soon."

Me: "Ok cool, be there soon." I leave and get there in about 20 minutes, walk up to the front counter and ask for FFVI Advance.

Gamestop employee: "oh we got like 2-3 copies left. Good thing you got here quickly." He then glances around behind the counter for about 5 seconds. "Oh actually we don't have any copies left, you really need to reserve these Final Fantasy games."

Me: "..."

But I ended up getting Rainbow Six: Vegas, so the trip wasn't completely worthless.

Don't forget sorting all the pre-played games Deejay. That and telling people release dates for games.

Damn there are so many games I want to buy now lol. I need to sit down and figure out how I am going to have time to play them all. At least the games for DS/GBA are portable and I can take them places. I do have a case that makes my 360 kinda portable so I can take it to other people's houses if need be.

I find it odd they're creating a stupid fuss for a game everyone in the world played 15 years ago.

FFVI is my favourite RPG, and probably the reason I give a crap about new FF games or any RPG really. So for us old timers who have the money for nostalgia, we indulge ourselves.

I got my copy, the dude at the store says the commotion and limited quantities are due to the fact that this is the very last GameBoy Advance game that will ever be made.

Happy to find battles aren't as laggy as FFIV Advance.

I'm still stuck at work ftl. I'll have to do some late shopping for FFVI tonight. I've been craving it all day. I doubt I'll be lucky enough to find it.

I think they got rid of "vwee-hee-hee" lol, or maybe he just "hee-hee-hee"s through the beginning of the game and I don't remember it.

Look at my DS top screen :( It's a green screen door look. It looks really bad irl. Exceptionally bad on GBA games.
