Well I just got a 40GB PS3. I met my Mom to Christmas shop for my sister today. She mentioned she has no idea what to get me for Christmas. There was a Target next door so I drug her over there. I didn't want her to pay the full 400 (she offered to) so we split it 50/50. She made me take it home today because she wants me to get it out of my system before family gets in town for the holiday. I have no games lol gonna watch Spiderman 3 on Blu Ray now.

Blu ray is so fucking nice. I can't belive how clear and how good the movies sound. PS3 is worth the purchase for that alone.

lol Lair was the first game I was gonna play. I'll rent Ratchet and Clank this weekend. Also wanna play Heavenly Sword, Resistance Fall of Man, and Ninja Gaiden. That's it for the exclusive games really.

Blu Ray was the main reason I wanted it. I've seen almost every HD DVD I wanted to on my TV (a lot). I want to see all of the Blu Ray exclusives now. Blu Ray and HD DVD look equally good to me at 1080p. I need a surround sound setup and a receiver that can decode PCM and True HD now. I'm missing out on the sound from both formats.

What I like the most about the PS3 is it's QUIET. It makes no sound. The controller is strange because it weighs the same as the wii nunchuck. My roommate and I were tripping out about that last night. It's so light I don't even know if I like it haha.

I love my PS3, Heavenly Sword is a must rent, you can beat it in a weekend easily, very short but awesome game. Lair isn't THAT bad, just remember that you're flying a DRAGON not a mechanical airplane, the dragon isn't going to respond quite like you think it should while you fly, it's also quite short, I would rent that as well as opposed to buying.

Enchanted Arms is fairly good if you're hard up for a classic RPG, the graphics are decent and the story is good, just beware of the English voice acting, it's god awful. Don't forget to go to to http://bluraysavings.com/ and fill out and mail in the form so you can get 5 free Blu-Ray movies, the offer expires soon so do that ASAP.

I just filled out the form for the 5 free Blu Rays. When I got my HD DVD player they didn't have that offer, and of course they do now. Lame.

I already have Enchanted Arms for 360. I got it for Christmas last year...and I've played about 2 hours of it because the voice acting seriously pissed me off to the point I didn't even want to play it. I wanna shoot the gay guy. If you can change it to Japanese that would own. Maybe I'll pick it up again.

Did pix ever post the flyer or anything? Since Eb and Gamestop became the same company, they've been using the same promotions, and I didn't find anything like this on the internet and the district manage didnt know either.

I got Ninja Gaiden Sigma for $40 at Best Buy. I only played through the 1st chapter, but so far I enjoy it. Graphics are good and it's really fun to play.

Casino Royale is probably the best looking Blu-ray imo, Lost season 3 and the Pirates movies look really nice too

All three Pirates on Blu-ray look amazing. The colors, the crisp picture, the menus, are all top notch. Disney is whole heartingly for Blu-Ray and it shows very well. Seriously buy or rebuy these blu-rays. Take it from me... a person you have never heard of

Hell yeah, my 1 month old PS3 is having problems. It won't read any movie discs (BR or regular DVD). I fucked with it for a couple hours yesterday, then again last night. This pisses me off because I really only use it for a BR player and I'm trying to finish rewatching Lost Season 3 in sexy high def goodness (got through disc 1 before it stopped working).

I'm gonna contact Sony and submit it for a warranty later I guess...yay for a refurbished one...

Mine was giving me problems when I would eject the disks. They wouldn't come out. Gave them a call, told me to hold the eject button down for 30 seconds without a disk inside. Problem solved. Good thing you're still within 90 days of purchase.

Kluya, before going to sony, because with them you will probably have to mail them your machine, check with the store you bought it from to see if anything can be done. Most stores will let you bring it back for an exchange within a certain period of time.

Hearing that as well as some other stories regarding the PS3, I regret not getting the 3 year guarantee from the store I bought it from. The thought of having to buy a new PS3 makes me want to punch something lol.

Well unfortunately to get those 5 free movies you have to mail in the UPC, which I of course did already. They won't take it back without that. I tried to take back my Mom's HD DVD player I got her for Christmas and get her a Blu Ray player (because of the likeliness of HD DVD taking a dump) and had the same problem because I mailed in the UPC already.

This is why everything should be bought from Costco. I regret not buying the PS3 there. All my xbox 360 and Nintendo DS problems weren't problems thanks to Costco being the best with returns.
