It's mildly ironic that they're all calling the system the "Revolution." Not to mention the fact that one of the largest supporting arguments for the system is being able to play old nintendo games. Should have named it Nintendo Retro, or Nintendo Nostalgia.
I know I'm gonna get flamed by the aforemention fanboys, but whatever I'm not looking forward as much to the "revolutionized" Barbie shopping adventure, or the latest Marykate and ashley olson game.
It's because of the controller, you dumb twat.
Awesome debate skills, kiddo.
Edit: Changed my post to include more.
I'm not anti-Nintendo in the least, so don't get me wrong. I just think that paying money to buy something that you already have is dumb. Yes, I play ZSNES sometimes; yes, I mentioned Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past; yes, I do still own a copy of the game. I know that's not the entire premise of the system, but it is pretty much the only thing I've heard people say as to reasons why they -are- going to buy it. This is from talk with people at work and such. And personally, I think that's a dumb reason to invest in a "next generation" console.
So whatever. Maybe that controller is going to be real cool. I'm not bashing the controller, either. I'm just saying that I haven't seen it in action, nor even know how well it will go over with the playerbase in the united states, since we tend to be a lot more lazy when it comes to video games. (There are pockets of DDR fans and stuff, but most people just want new versions of Halo or GTA).
I think the comment about it being like a crappy burrito with awesome hot sauce is pretty accurate. I'm sure the system will do okay here and awesome in Japan. But I highly doubt I'll buy one. And no, I don't have an Xbox, or xbox 360. Yes, I do have a ps2, but that's only because I needed another DVD player for me room, and I did like the final fantasy series up until X-2. *shudders*
