I rented this today. This game was very hyped and I had high expectations. Right from the start I was blown away. The first part where you are hiding from those giant robot things was insane. I have a loud surround stereo setup and a big HDTV. No game has gotten my heart racing and made me tremble like the beginning of this game. I almost had an anxiety attack irl trying to hide from those damn things. I've never played a Metal Gear game in my life and never read about them. I don't have a clue who Snake is or what my purpose is, but the game is crazy and feels very realistic IMO (I almost can't handle it lol). Graphics and sound are 10/10. Can't say much for the rest of the game yet. Controls are unfamiliar, and I have no idea what's going on with the story at the moment.

I just played a couple hours today. It was fun once you got used to the Alarm thing going off every once in a while. Snake is pretty bad ass. I like messing around with the Sniper rifle.

I like MGS4 so much I returned the rental and bought it yesterday (had $180 in gamestop credit to spend). I'm not finished with it yet, but I already wanna play through it again.

I finally beat MGS4 last night. It's not a long game (took me a tad over 20 hours), but it still took me several weeks irl to beat it.

It was an exceptional game all the way to the end. I liked it so much I'm buying the PS2 bundle of 1, 2, and 3 (it's only $30). There was a lot of depth to the story, and I didn't absorb it all. There were a lot of references to the earlier MGS games...which of course I didn't understand.

ps3 is gay!

haha i was being an asshole on this local hardcore messageboard with friends and people were being dicks to me so i made a thread "hate on dirk thread" and some dude created a thread called "hat on dirk thread" and they took all these old pics of me and photoshopped hats onto me.. it was pretty hysterical.
