Post subject:  What Final Fantasy character should be in Smash Brothers?
OK so lets limit this to top 5 characters they would like to see in Smash Brothers. There is no reason to believe that any FF characters will be in the game. I just thought it would be an interesting subject.


Limit your list to 5. If you dont ill just delete any extra you list. Oh and dont list your FFXI character lol.

In no particular order

Kain
Hes was pretty much my first favorite character in FF. I would love to see a version of this character done in full 3D. They could use the same type of Armor the Dragoon uses in FFXI, only make it look much more eligant (s?)

Palom and Porom
Done in the same fashion the Ice Climbers were done in. I didnt like these characters very much, I just think it would cool to have two characters being played by one person. One could use white magic while the other uses Black Magic.

Auron
The guy fights with one hand most the time. I really liked FFX even if not many other people did. Mostly because I found this character to be pretty bad ass. Although his ending was rather lame lol. Still he kicked ass.

Moogle
No Explination needed. I would use a "Classic" mog though. I really liked the Mogs in FFXII, but the original Mogs just feel more FF.

Yuna
Giving her all the sumons would make her kick ass.

1: Cecil, he could have a secret "costume" which could be his Dark Knight version, with its own array of attacks. Or they could let him transform between the Paladin and Dark Knight.

2: Squall, the Gunblade could be really fun to use with its trigger move and they could include his limit breaks as special attacks. Secret alternate costume of Seifer :D

3: Kain. Jumping. With a cape. PURE AWESOME. They could throw him some world ending star exploder attack too for shits and giggles. That's how I picture him o.o He'd destroy the world for Rosa where Cecil would save it for her. /offtopic

4: Reno or Rude of the Turks. Badass.

5: Can't think of a fifth one I'd really want to see that could have cool attack/transformation, and didn't want to include any characters that appeared in Ehrgeiz. I'd say Quistis(blue magic and a whip, could be cool) but gonna think about it and edit later. lol

Cloud: I'm not a huge fan of FFVII, and I really don't like him, but he is the character that got a new generation of kiddies interested in RPGs and the FF series, so I'm sure he'd be added.

Kain or Cecil: Tied for same spot They are two of the more badass characters from the old-school games.. I don't like repeating votes that other people give usually, but I do need to second my opinion of these two.

Chocobo: This would be another good choice, as it's pretty iconic in the series.

Mog/Moogle: See above.

Kefka: Kefka would make a pretty sweet evil character to choose from in the list.

ive actually been throwing this idea around for a while about FF characters in smash bros

1: Auron
hes just badass

2: Cid
if they cant make a good 3D version of kain then this is prob the second best choice, (and since they have those cool finishing move things his could be the highwind)

3: Squall
trigger fun :)

4: Cloud
they'd just have to have him...

5: Tidus
as much as nobody likes him (dunno if this in the concenus but it seems pretty comon), they'd have to put him in (if they do ff characters) or i'd like to see jecht cuz he was pretty cool with cloud style fighting

Ughh most of my characters and reasons have been used. I don't care I'll post them anyways (+1 to vote right?)

1. Terra - she could be a sword fighter or morph into have her Esper form and own shit with magic.

2. Classic Moogle - one of the biggest Final Fantasy icons IMO. Have them fight and do dance moves like Mog in FF6.

3. Kain - I loved Kain so much. He is the coolest looking older FF character IMO. Jump jump jump.

4. Cloud - He seems to be the most well known FF character of all time. His looks and character made big changes to the series. He would be out there with his oversized sword...maybe one that pulls apart and does cool shit like in Advent Children.

5. Chocobo - another great FF icon. They could peck, kick, or do whatever chocobos do (Chocobop!).

It'd be cool to have Cecil just beating on stuff with his shield and only using sword for special attacks. lol A fighting style based on defending and countering since "A true Paladin will sheathe his sword."

Vincent- just so i could shapeshift in battle

Bahamut (child version from FFX)- he could have magic attacks and as one of his moves like shift into bahamut and use mega flare or some fire breath shit

Vivi- just cause i loved his char, and his ending was slightlly depressing

and fallen angel sepheroth - could make a kick ass hidden char

Kain- yea..


honestlly i think they should make a FF combat game... and make it not suck

here's who shouldn't be in the game:

1. Cloud - what a boring character
2. Squall - the definition of wuss
3. Sephiroth - fanboys have creamed their pants over him for long enough
4. Tidus - yawn another generic main character
5. Aeris - she's dead



and here's who should be in the game:

1. Auron - I agree with what Yarr said. He was the badass of FFX.
2. Cid - in every FF he always lives by his own code. you can't not like Cid.
3. Chocobo - you could unlock different colors, like red or gold, etc. and maybe black has a flying attack or something.
4. Bahamut - he could take a human form, full black helmet with sweet looking black armor with red trim. and maybe for his super move he could morph to dragon form.
5. Thunderstomp - for sex appeal.

From FF4 - Kain is an ideal choice. SSB already has Marth and roy and link for swordsmen so a spear would mix it up nicely imo.

FF6 - Edgar - Lotta fun options here with his tool command. breaking out the auto crossbow and crap mid fight has a lot of potential for awesome. Not my favorite character at all, but he could bring some win

FF7 - Tifa - She melees and shes got sex appeal just what this game was missing!

FF9 - Vivi - Do you really need any other explaination?

And my final wild Card choice would be Nanaki or Red XIII, just because he's not human but still reeks of awesome.


And for the people suggesting summons. That could easily be done by making crystals or whatever as items like pokeballs. Throw them and out pops a single use Esper or Summon.

Not a huge Smash brothers fan, but from what I know about the game there was that one stage where lots of Metal characters kept coming 30 of them or something like that. Instead of just adding FF characters, they could do something like that, only instead of the Metal Characters just sending wave after wave of the original 8Bit characters. Fighter Black Mage White Mage Red mage Thief and so on.

1. Rikku - shes the char I like best out of all the FFs I've played. Even though she'd prolly be kinda weak, it'd still be funny to beat her up. Prolly FFX one since its Nintendo.

2. Ingus - hes just cool like that.

3. Cecil DRK - I liked his emoness at the beginning of IV, and the job wasn't bad any, better than PLD Cecil.

4. Auron - his whole everything was just cool.

5. Cloud - because I want to beat him up. I don't see why everyone likes him so much, even from playing FFVII and watching Advent Children.
