Things I miss about FFXI: ~Friends ~Job system ~Uniqueness of character abilities ~Bosses that don't take 45 seconds to defeat ~Provoke ~Enmity ~Dual-wield ~Black magic being useful ~6-character parties ~Tank, damage dealer, healer, mage roles ~Rare monsters being rarer ~Going to homepoint when you die ~Seeing your armor on your character ~I prefered FFXI music ~Some spells and abilities to look forward to at higher levels ~Magic bursts ~Skill chains ~Positioning versus monster ~Crafting (selling shit to ff12 bazaar doesn't count) ~Updates to game material ~Skillup ~Gil was hard to get ~Bard omg ~Too weak, easy prey, dc, em, t, vt, it ~Treasure chests/coffers hard to find ~Summons have some use Things FFXII improves on: ~Graphics ~Less frustrating usually ~I don't have a Japanese player continuously impeding my progress ~"Time magic" separate ~The gambit system, while not perfect, is really a great tool ~Option to use battle target lines (but I never use them) I haven't beaten the final boss yet, but I could if I wanted to (I'm around lvl 65 now). My conclusion is FFXII is a nice simple single player FFXI that has much less features but doesn't require 86 hours a week of your attention. FF11 > FF4 > FF6 > FF5 > FFT > FF12 > ... |

It kinda boring as hell... the upside is there is a pause button so you're not locked into large blocks of time, so you can get up and walk away anytime you want. Usually reflect on my characters and target myself... so each -ga spell hits the mob 3x as it bounces off everyone in the party. 90K dmg per round (9999x3x3). Things i liked about ffxi friends longer chocobo riding time linkshells cheap prices (when i started atleast) gil was easy to make (as thf) job specific abilities things i like better about ffxii not having to deal with online retards not having one specific group of people claiming the same rare monster every time. gambit system graphics ... did i mention not having to deal with online retards? both are good games though. |

I love how some of the mobs in XI show up in XII XII Gambits are great when you have a bunch of slots The combat system is wonderful Main character is a homo Linear but allows for exploring XI Tarutarus Friends Something to do for years |
