Im sided with this guy. I dont believe that anyone could break the strap while using it. I see people not using the strap and then blaming Nintendo to try and get away with what happened.

Now nintendo is adding the new strap to avoid having people blame nintendo for their own stupidity.

Yeah everybody's gotta cause a problem. Strap was fine as it was.

That article was pretty interesting and gave me a good laugh. Testing things from the DS lite, to a camera bag with 25 pounds of books, a knife block, and a full 2.5 gallon jug at the same time lol.

I also believe the people who broke their TV screens were most likely not using the strap. When I get a Wii and let others play it in my living room, I will give a long speech and make sure they use the wrist strap. I'd literally kill somebody for throwing my $40 wiimote at my expensive TV. There would be death.

Meh, I think in most cases it was people not using the strap, but in probably half, they actually were. But when you throw something at 60+mph (as in wii pitching, or even bowling) and then let go of it.. After you do that a few hundred times, it'd probably show some wear on the strap. >.>; But again, it's only the straps breaking. Not the controller itself! (I just find that so amusing...)

Good article though, hehe. I like the pictures.

Retards who
1: do not use the strap and
2: actually swing this thing like they're throwing a fastball

deserve to have their shit break. I only got to use it for a short time but I was playing zelda with flicks of my wrist (and flourishes as well) and the strap goes on pretty tight. There was never any reason for people to break their shit but of course, Nintendo responded with class and replaced it anyway for the massive population of dangerous stupids we have.

Or they may wear it and not tighten it around their skinny little pencil wrists.
