Im reading a Gamefaq on the Hunt monsters and it says that each have at least 3 things stealable from them. I cant steal anything past a potion/hi-potion or garbage really though. Is there a way to be able to steal more then 1 item?

if its a monster that won't ever respawn, then steal and dont kill it and zone and come back and steal, etc.

no, it true, when I first fought phoenix I stole a eye of the hawk and split armor
this how I do it

equip eveyone with thief cuffs
make sure all my party has haste

set gambit to steal and only steal (or just manually do it)

whole party runs in and steals at the same time and sometimes I end up getting two items

I often got High Arcana + 1 other item off of the espers in this same way

it even works on non-bosses/important mobs I think because I got a dorsal fin and a Ichton scale off the fish in Nebreus Deadlands.

So I think you have to have more than 1 person stealing at the same time to do it.

however when the "...doesn't have anything to steal" menu comes up then it's over, there's nothing left of course so zone it or kill it.

Also what whisp says is also true, if its a rare hunt monster you can zone it (usually 2 zones over) after you steal the item you want and do it over and over.

my only question is does just 1 toon need the diamond armlet to recover better treasure in Pharos and Great Crystal? Seems I only acquired a megalixer doing it like this. I can't get crap!

yea just 1 guy needs diamond armlet. i always equipped it on the character i was controlling, but i dont know if thats even necessary. it's usually (or possibly always) a 10% chance to get the good item, and 90% chance to get a lump of shit or whatever it was.


anyway yea i do recall some monsters where i could steal more than once. not many though.
