Quote: Activision today announced its plans to release Marvel: Ultimate Alliance downloadable content on Xbox Live Marketplace with new heroes and villains. The eight new characters are the Incredible Hulk, Magneto, Hawkeye, Sabretooth, Doctor Doom, Cyclops, Nightcrawler and Venom. The Hero Pack and Villain Pack will separately be 500 Microsoft points, the Combined Hero and Villain Pack will be 800 Microsoft points, and individual gamer pic packs will be 80 Microsoft points each.
"The signature gameplay of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance has made it a favorite among fans, as well as the best-selling Super Hero game on the Xbox 360 to-date," said Rob Kostich, vice president of global brand management, Activision. "By adding some of the biggest names in the Marvel Universe to the roster we're enabling Xbox 360 gamers to build a variety of all-new teams and enjoy the epic action in brand new ways." Very cool. I finally started playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance about two weeks ago and I really like it. Its a ton of fun (Justice League was better) and looks hot too. I cant wait for those characters to download. Id like to see more costumes too though. |

Yeah I beat this game as a rental a while back. It was pretty damn fun and I bet the multiplayer is decent. New characters are pretty cool, at least they picked good ones. I never got to play the Justice League game and I heard the exact opposite (Marvel game is supposedly better according to some). |

Justice leauge had a WAY WAY better battle system and character customization system. Marvel lets you simply put "Points" into a skill to make it stronger. So If I put more points into "Web Attack" or something then it simply moves the skill upwards in a static and liniar mannor. In Justice Leauge you get "Orbs" and the orbs are like "Speed orb", "Duration Orb", "Range Orb" and so on. Its way more fun this way. So I can take say "The Flash" and add a "Speed" orb to his "Super Speed" and he moves even faster. Or I can add a Duration orb and the duration of the Super Speed is incresed. on top of that each orb had a level (1 to 5) and you had to combine orbs to upgrade them and what not. It was pretty awesome and gives an actual reason to play again. the game itself wasnt that great. Marvel is better when it comes to level design and duration. Justice League was short. |

Yeah my friend Greg was hating life playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance on Wii. The game wasn't designed with that type of controller in mind. Multi-platform releases are going to be difficult to map controls to the Wiimote correctly. Games will play awkwardly if the controls aren't done right. The game is quite good on other consoles though. |
