Square Enix has registered a new patent in US for Final Fantasy Haeresis XIII, which is a previously unannounced title, and it seems to be a part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis: Final Fantasy XIII group project. the-magixbox.com ![]() edit... Forgot to mention that S-E is planning on announcing another FF game in may at an event...this might be it |

Just because the registered the trademark doesn't mean they're making it. Chrono Break |

It's probably for the 360. Considering all the talk of FFXIII's "exclusiveness" to the PS3. And while the main game is for the PS3, this is a way to keep Sony and MS happy. Sorta. |

As long as its not what X-2 was for X. I'd be happy to see a FFXIII spinoff for Xbox. Now that i think about it... Forget it, looking at FF's track record with spinoffs... screw that. They'll probably make it a FPS if it ever makes it to xbox. |

It's not like developers have to appease hardware companies or anything. The high cost of developing new games and the fact that even if everyone with a PS3 bought your game you still might not turn a profit makes it a near essential business move |

FFXIII would have been announced for 360 already. Considering microsoft offered to pay 70% of the production costs. |

It was in a recent Game Informer. I'd have to read them all to find it. It was less than 6 months ago because i remember reading it at work... I'll try and find it. |

It's almost frightening that you'd buy a PS3 for FF13 when we've got Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Cry On ect, which are undoubtedly going to be better games. |

Square had a good track record in my eyes prior to releasing FFX-2 and Chains of Promaitha (for FFXI). Since then they have been going into the shitter with FF12, KH2, FF7:Dirge of Cerberus, and the like. The only redeeming things they have done recently is just remaking or rereleasing old FFs for new consoles (DS yay!). After FF12 and the prospect of multiple FF13 games, I am not very optimistic. |

I think CoP was good enough to be its own stand-alone FF, but yeah besides that ff has been in the crapper for a while with all these useless side products. I think FF10 was great but after that they got lazy, note: that was Sakaguchi's last. 12 would have been a 100% total disaster without the Basch/Gabranth story (which was basically a repeat of Cecil and Kain. Basch even had the Cecil hair). |

granted, those guys did make good games, and from what i see, lost odyssey is looks bad ass. Blue Dragon i think is very childish looking, which doesnt belong on a 360. Didnt read much about Cry On because there wasnt all that much out. from what i have read, FFXIII is going to be sweet, so i'll have to wait till the games are all out before a final judgement can be made on which "crew" makes the better product. |

I can't help that I've been a Final Fantasy fanboy since I was like...10. No worries brotha. I'm more excited for Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey than any other RPG. I'm really confused by the multiple FF13 titles. FFX-2 = garbage. The FF13 game that looks most interesting IMO is FF versus 13. I haven't seen gameplay footage though...just an FMV trailer. |
