Well it was only just announced yesterday. (In the middle of a press conference.) Word managed to leak out about it and someone managed to snap a picture of the presentation slide too. That's all there is on it so far I'm afraid. The rest of their slides are all about other games and various other company related things. |

This is all the info I have so far now. Quote: One of the most popular games of the early ‘90s is reborn! Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, originally developed by Capcom for the arcade, makes its downloadable debut on the Xbox LIVE Arcade and PLAYSTATION Network. Capcom will stay true to the foundation of the popular game by utilizing the original game code, while creating a fresh upgraded experience with new artwork and high resolution 1080p graphics. All of the art will be completely redrawn and created by UDON Comics, which currently publishes the official Street Fighter comic and is responsible for the new contemporary look of the Street Fighter franchise.
Features: Features all eighteen of the original Super Street Fighter II Turbo characters including Ryu, Guile, M. Bison and Akuma One to two player head-to-head play either offline or online -Single player vs. CPU -Player vs. player over the same console -Player vs. player online Training mode helps fighters hone their skills Numerous online features: -In-game voice chatting between players -Matchmaking flexibility through multiple options: -Personal and friends statistics tracking -Worldwide rankings and leaderboards The online aspects sounds very nice. I love that UDON comics are doing the new animations and art. They have done an absolutly awesome job with the comics the publish. god damn, Im so pumped about this now. Too bad we probably wont see it until like November or something. XBL games take forever to come out. |

Not just talking about Capcom, but I find it kind of amazing how some companies are able to keep re-releasing exactly the same game (eg: Street Fighter II) over and over with just a few new features and improved graphics, for like 15 years, lol. Not saying it's a bad thing, just that I'm amazed it's possible. :P Sports games are the worst offenders for this, lol. |

Wow that looks awesome. I used to own at Mortal Kombat as a kid. I played it in the arcade and kicked peoples asses all the time from the start. I was also good at the SNES and N64 ones. I knew all the moves, combos, fatalities, babalities, etc etc for Ultimate MK3 for 64 because I studied and played it sooo much. I played the fuck out of that game. Never played a Mortal Kombat title after that. It's been about 11 years since I played any MK game, and I downloaded the xbox live Ultimate MK3. I don't remember a fucking thing and a suck something awful lol. Playing it truely makes me VERY angry because I suck so bad now lol. I imagine I will suck at street fighter II also. I was a much better gamer as a kid..... |

Yeah I agree Ket, Sports games are the worst. I use to be big into the NHL games but buy the time NHL 2001 came out I was just annoyed and stopped. The games make minor visual improvements from version to version (excluding a console generational jump) and let be real here, they cant add anything new. Once XBL and PSN start to take off I see there being MASSIVE changes to the sports genre. It would be perfect if EA would release something like "NHL Hockey" (or some other generic name) and then every year they could just release an online download to update the rosters, add new players (faces, models and so on) and features. They could release it as an upgrade pack for like $30 bucks (Canadian, half the price of the normal game) and probably make themselves a hell of a lot more money. |
