got it all wrong, metallica's song title and this game title is based from this

http://www.dagonbytes.com/thelibrary/lo ... thulhu.htm

an actual story.
Rob Zombie is notorius for naming song title's after obsure books, movies, and genres.

we are all aware of the new action packed double feature "grindhouse", an example of this is on the Le sexorcisto album the song Grindhouse a go-go, based on the genre of films it portrays.

Of course it's not based on the song. How you gonna make a video game based on an instrumental song. There's not even lyrics!

However the cartoon movie "The Prince of Egypt" was so based on the Metallica song "Creeping Death"!

i wasnt talking about the game being based off the song, just how both titles are derived from a story from 1926.

meh why would you be interested in a game based off a metallica song anyway. didn't kiss have a game or something, the fact that I can't remember it is testimony that bands should never have games based off them or their songs

Idk about Kiss, but Journey and Aerosmith had games.

I just saw the name Call of Ctulhu and it made me think of the Metallica song. It's clearly a joke. You can't base an entire video game on an instrumental song.

The reason why Guitar Hero was unable to get Metallica in previous installments of the game was because Metallica wanted to make their own videogame. At least that's what was said by a developer for Harmonix. But in a press release announcing Guitar Hero III this was said.

"We've got a lot of songs and artists still that we would love to have," Huang commented. "In particular, we've been trying to get Metallica, AC/DC, and Led Zeppelin. So hopefully sometime in the near future, my wish and everybody's wish will come true and we can get some of their music in the game."
