You can't get your code til you get to the town called Oreburgh, there you can go downstairs in the pokemon center and talk to the ladies behind the counters, one of them gives you an item called a Pal Pad and once you've registered your wifi with the ladies behind the counter, you can check your code on the pal pad in your item bag.

My character name is Dead.

My DS is still broken. I love that cat picture. I've never played a Pokemon game. Should I fix my DS and buy it?

Well Pokemon games are games you can throw a lot of time at if you want to, it's like a Mega-RPG in that there are hundreds of characters (monsters) to level up. You travel from town to town fighting (and capturing) wild monsters, wandering trainers, and Gym masters who test your limits and expand your powers as you defeat them.

In this one you can fight and trade using the wi-fi so that's pretty damn cool too. I haven't played any since the original (red/blue) but this is great so far.

Yeah I have about 8 hours logged into pokemon and i only have 2 badges. I'm not going to play untill tomorrow because this girl from BG made 10 chimchar eggs and I want one before I advance any further lol. I just bought that Wifi adapter thing for my DS/Wii so i'll be logging on tomorrow and will post my friend code then.

I have Diamond btw.

Anyone whos into huge expansive RPGs will really like this game. This is the closest you'll get to an easy/fun/insanely deep MMO for ds.

I'm making progress slow as hell Deejay lol, I usually try to catch every monster around a town and level my main team a bit before I move on, besides that, there's just a huge ton of new crap I'm looking into as I go along.

I'm just pumped I got a Geodude, so glad when I find original monsters in the mix. I love him.

As soon as I get my DS fixed I'll post mine.

I should probably stop buying games for it and working on fixing it first though...

You always say that with every DS game. Just buy a Lite like asap.

Now that I think about it, we just started a promotion at eb/gamestop. Trade in your old DS and get the Lite for like 70 bucks.

You think they'll take one with a cracked top screen? :(

Our gamestop is pretty gay with some promotions. Like I'd go in and ask about it and they say they're not doing it or not giving out the promos like the pokemon stylus.

I got an egg from an npc:
1: How do I hatch this?
2: How do I get others?

The npc who gave it to me made it sound like hatching it just involves walking around with it in my party but it hasn't changed at all.

You got a bike? In order to hatch pokemon you need to take a certain number of steps with it in your party. I'm betting that you have to take 5,300 steps (like most others) and the best way to do that is just go up and down the bike path for like 5 minutes. The one the dude just gave you is a devolved Chansey.

You get pokemon eggs by breeding them at the day care center. Its in the rown right before the 3rd gym. When two pokemon of the same breeding type are left at the daycare center, you get an egg that is the same pokemon as the mother. But has a chance to learn a move from the father that it normally wouldnt learn right when he hatches. Right now i'm in the process of breeding a bagillionGhastly untill I get one that has the personality trait that gives it +spec. attack and - defense. (since ghosts dont need defense anyway)

OHhoo I see. This will be interesting, how long do I have to leave the 2 monsters at the daycare?

I have 3 badges now and I'm in the town with the 4th gym, I just caught a pair (fem/male) of blue Shellos on the beach. I own 26 different types and I've seen 74. My party hasn't changed much since I started:

1: Turtwig (now Grotle, I always picked Bulbasau to start pokemon red)
2: Geodude (now Graveler, strong and dependable)
3: Shinx (now Luxray, fully evolved, the only thunder monster I've found)
4: Psyduck (depndable psychic+water, kinda weak but will evolve soon)
5: Ponyta (Rapidash is my favorite fire monster, needs 10ish levels to evolve)
6: Starly (now Staravia, haven't leveled it much but need a flyer)

Average level is in the high 20s, the only severely underlevelled one is the bird at 18. I'd like to level a Shellos, I caught some blue ones which look great and it seems like a high defense monster, along with that it's a water mob with ground moves which is pretty weird and cool. I have trouble with gym trainers because I'm not used to these crazy hybrid monsters they keep whipping out (wtf psychic/fighter). I hope Luxray starts learning more moves soon, I still only have ths starter thunder attack (spark) and starting tackle. Besides that I stuck with Charge and Roar for his other 2 slots, level 31 now. His special power is low compared to his attack, I'd like to find a more magic oriented thunder monster eventually(where is Pikachu :/) but for now this guy is my favorite party member and Psyduck is his main teammate in dual fights.

I've heard I can get Bulbasaur, charmander, squirtle, and many others just by having ruby, sapphire, or emerald in the gba slot.
