Yeah I played the demo and the Blue Dragon demo. My Xbox360 did the 3 red lights of doom this week. I just got the box to send it back to MS for warranty work. Hooray. All the good games come out and my fucking 360 is gone for 4 to 6 weeks. I hate you fuckers for being able to play these games lol. My friend Matt just bought an Elite, and mine breaks 1 day later haha. He is going to pass me in RS: Vegas, he is Sargeant already.

Bioshock demo was fucking amazing. I liked the electricty powers, electricuting people in the water was badass. The Incinerate power wasn't as amazing. Guns were ok, at least it has a tommy gun in the demo. Seems to have some serious puzzle elements with the Big Daddies and the little girls involved. I bet it has some scary moments being how fucking dark it is. The graphics of course are what I expected, plain awesome.

Should I play System Shock to fully enjoy Bioshock?

Not for the demo, it isn't necessary. The storyline doesn't have continuity from what I can tell. Play System Shock in your own time, it is pretty damn badass though. Did you play the first Deus Ex (second wasn't as good)?

Yeah I played Deus Ex and didn't play the second

You should be fine then. The demo isn't anything epic, just enough to whet your appetite. Those teasing bastards.

I played Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata demos last week (and loved both of them). I couldn't find the Bioshock demo...this was a couple days ago. Did they recently add it? All I could find was a trailer.

I've been excited for Bioshock. It looks so badass. I'm buying that on release day and grinding through it...Blue Dragon and Metroid Prime 3 come out a week later!

grrr there's so many good games coming out for 360! Et, not only has my 360 given me the 3 red flashing lights of doom on several occasions, but it has now been doing some gay issue where it reads my games as movies and tells me to put them in a 360 console to play them. I got the box to send it back like 2 weeks ago, but I just can't bare to be away from the thing. Until it fries completely and I can't play games by turning it on and off again a bazliion times, it'll just have to wait to get sent back to ms. fuck 4-6 weeks w/o it, and the cheap-ass free 1 month of xbox live hardly makes up for the inconvenience. LERN2CONSOLE MS NOOBS

I'm one of the lucky few who hasn't had a problem with my current 360. I read so many horror stories about the 3 red lights of doom. The only time I saw the 3 red lights was when I unplugged my component from the back of the 360 to plug in the VGA (to do a 1080i/1080p hd dvd comparison test on my TV) while the 360 was running. It didn't like that! I read horror stories about people having HD DVD playback issues with 360 also. I rent HD DVDs like crazy, and watched atleast 30 different ones with my 360 add-on...haven't had a single issue (I clean them off first).

Yeah, theres 2 360's in my house and neither of them have broken down yet. However, I've had small scares where my xbox would stop playing any disc in the drive. I'd have to leave it for an hour or two and the problem would fix itself.

I sent mine back today. Turned it on a few more times before packing it up and it didn't work. Gave me a glimmer of hope by getting to the intial screen once, but it froze. Next time it went with the 3 lights of doom. 4 to 6 weeks... Goddammit. Worst timing ever.

Damn I'm sorry to hear that guys...these next 2 months are the best for 360 games since it's been released IMO :(

yeh but you don't play it a lot to really experience weird glitches with it Klu, I have my 360 on almost continually whenever I'm home or not busy, so it's already seen a bunch of hours of usage, also I smoke like a chimney in the room with the 360 (cigs and bud) which can't be good for the system. I got the 3 red lights but turning it on and off again has always helped. That sucks that it's stuck like that Et ?comfort. Hopefully it'll be closer to 2 weeks and they just tell you 4 to 6 weeks so you don't call everyday looking for it. And Klu, where do you rent HD movies? Netflix? The Blockbuster/Hollywood videos by my hosue don't carry Blu-Ray or HD and I hear that when they do start to carry them they're going Blu-Ray exclusively. Also, have you noticed that it's a major pain in the ass to get your HD-DVD drive to eject discs? My remote ejects the console drive not the hd drive and when i go to the dashboard i only get the option to play an hd dvd when there's on in there, I have to sit there for like 2 minutes holding down the eject button or sometimes i try spamming it a few times, it usually opens eventually w/o too much frustartion on my part, still it should be opening and closing w/o a problem, anyone else experiencing?

Yeah it was stuck perpetually like that. Yours seems to tease you with competence. I would send it in before the warranty goes out though (not sure when you got it). The Blockbusters near here carry both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray movies. I haven't been to the Hollywood video in ages (4 Blockbusters vs 1 Hollywood video haha).

It's really hot here (the a/c sucks in my house also) and I'm surprised I haven't overheated my 360.

I rent my HD DVDs from Blockbuster total access. It's $15 a month for 3 rentals at a time all the time, and 1 free video game rental each month. I've been with them since...April? They recieve and send the movies pretty fast through the mail. I watch a lot of movies lol so it's worth it to me. Some people have playback issues with the HD DVDs because they are scratched...or whatever. I clean them off with water, and dry with a microfiber towel each time before using...and haven't had a problem with a single one.

Here is a useful link if you have total access. You don't have to browse their site. It sends you directly to the HD DVD link. Browsing their site is annoying because you can't query HD movies by typing in the title.

I thought you worked at EB or something like that. Do you just walk out of the store as a employee and walk back in as a customer? >.>

ROFL that is what the Blue Dragon demo did when I was playing it. It isn't the game, it is a heating thing or has to do with his video cable. Did he get all 4 lights in a red ring or 3? I still have my HD and all my other shit at home, all you ship back is the console itself.
