Anyone else happen to grab the PSP Slim model? I snagged a silver one from the Daxter bundle (haven't played it, probably going to trade the game in for something I care about) and I'm enjoying it a lot. The load times are a ton better, it's durable as all hell (I even dropped it without a scratch), the D-pad is MUCH MUCH more responsive, and while cosmetically it looks fairly similiar still, it's a huge improvement over the previous models.

I've had the previous PSP model (but there were no games to keep me interested) and I've gotta say that it's come a long way since then.

$199 with a game? It is very tempting considering all the hacking and shit you can do w/ a PSP to make it run emulated stuff. I could give a rat's ass about UMD movies though.

Yea, with a game, a Family Guy UMD, 1 gig stick and the system. I did the hacking stuff on my old one, but I'm not sure if I want to do it with this one. But if you're going for emulation, it doesn't really matter which model you get. You can probably get a sweet deal for the fat one, and get a huge memory stick to put all the games on. You can load directly from the stick itself without any load times at all.

I thinking about getting a slim but not sure if I should keep my old model and use that for mods or trade it in for a slim.

Mods will work for Slim. It just takes the loading time thing out of the list of improvements. They also glossed it over with the iPodish plastic so when you play for awhile, you don't smudge the shit out of it.

Where can I go to find a way to mod the slim? I want to buy one but I want to be sure I can run homebrew on it.
