Capcom actually didn't make EX. It was outsourced by a company that mainly made Tetris-like games called Arika. I'd really prefer a 2D/3D hybrid thing though.

It'd be nice if they could get the game to run smoothly with graphics like that.

I want a very artistic and smooth looking 3d cell shading. With a fixed side scrolling Camera (this way the final KO could involve the camera switching to a cool 3d style view with crazy special effects.

IMO Gaming needs to go back to the 2d style games using HEAVY 3d cell shading to create the illusion of being 3D.

This better come out for Arcade first. I dont want to find out this is coming exclusivly to Wii first.

Yea Yarr, it's coming out for Arcade before anything. That's the only platform currently announced/listed for it.

It's announced for 360, PS3, and Wii on IGN. Arcade included.

I think being able to sidestep in a fighting game is pointless. I remember being able to avoid attacks by jumping. lol

Sidestepping is good for walking around your opponent and smacking them out of the ring in SoulCalibur haha. 8 way run also has several special attacks in it. 8 way run is only good for avoiding non-tracking vertical attacks (tracking and most horizontals hit you). You can jump in the game as well, but that is to avoid low horizontal attacks. SoulCalibur IV will be online, its for 360 and PS3.

Sidestepping is more pointless in Tekken and VF. In DOA you can at least knock people into walls or off cliffs for more damage. That would be a reason to sidestep in DOA.
