Too bad the game is getting rave reviews pretty much everywhere. It is a non-linear game with more than one way to play each class, so of course there is a learning curve. The game is supposed to have a 70s science fiction feel, hence the grainy effect you can turn on to give it that old school Sci-Fi look.

Mass Effect is fucking amazing. I've been playing for about three hours and I'm so incredibly shocked at the production values. My favorite part so far is just talking with everyone. Amazingly good stuff!

Seriously...

Game is top notch. I chose a Vanguard for my first playthrough. The decision making you get to make which ultimately determines the outcome of the game is better than any other that I've played. It plays out like a movie almost.

I'm playing infiltrator which is really hard and I wish I had chosen something else, but it's all right.

I also made a Vanguard. It's good times.

Yeah I chose Vanguard as well. I do find that having range with a sniper rifle is valuable at times though. This is the first game in a trilogy from what I read, which might be really cool. Especially considering the production values and overall quality that Bioware brings to the table.

Ugh i'm playing mass effect. I'm completely hooked lol. THe scale of this game is freaken amazing. The little side quests they give is pretty cool too. And ohh man talking to everyone is just so cool


The elevator thing is pretty fucking funny though lol. Looks kinda funny with the aliens just standing there lol.

This game reminds me of alot of things, Flashback, bladerunner and shadowrun for snes. Its very cool and and very deep.

Every character you speak to has alot of personality. Its quite amazing.

I'm about 16 hours in but I haven't gone to Virmire yet. I was reading on some forum that you can't go back once you start that mission? I haven't looked into it because I don't want to spoil anything.

Also, I heard that if you start a new game+ you can keep all your old items/abilities. Is there anyway that you can change your class or do you have to replay the game as the same everything?

This game is great, reminds of of Shadowrun for genesis mixed with PS2's Summoner. My character is a Vanguard but I should have just played Soldier. Been working almost exclusively with Wrex and the human guy you start with.

I just beat this game. I have to say seriously its the best game i've played in a long time. The story line itself if you pay attention is extremely deep. The game is completely brillant.

I've been dying to play a good rpg for ages and this game filled that void, its a next gen rpg done right. I just can't believe i didn't play this soon enough. Ohh man i wish i could talk to someone about the story hahaha. Yea if anyone is looking for an rpg thats really good and actually gives you alot of stuff to do get this game !

i'm playing through it now that i got my hdtv lol. something about the game i just couldn't stand playing it on standard definition, but it looks fucking amazing now haha.
