I'm on mission #8 or 9 of the campaign, it's as good as the others so far. One nice improvement overall is that as you go along, a TON of optional battles open up, with each one being more of a puzzle than the usual battles. Each optional battle has a different sort of theme, for lack of a better term. They're like Zelda bosses, you're usually overpowered but if you're daring and quick, and if you figure out the trick, you can win.

The campaign itself has a darker story than the old AW games. Basically, the world ends at the beginning of the game. Meteors rain down and destroy everything, the world is shrouded in darkness, and only a tiny population of survivors exists, and now, they've been pushed (or pulled) into a war for control (or defense) of the new world.

So far I havent seen any of the CO Powers, which used to be able to completely turn the tide of a battle. There are new units, such as the flare launcher for Fog of War battles, the duster, which is a small airplane, and others.

A cool new feature is the ability to create and design battle maps of your own to trade or upload on the wi-fi. You can also battle online with friends or random people. I still haven't tried that either.

Soooo...anybody else get this? Anybody have maps or want to have a fight?

I'll be getting this sometime in the next few weeks. Dual Strike was one of my favorite games of the last 5 years. How does multiplayer work, is it in real time or still turn based? If it's turn based I'll probably avoid multiplayer.

I got the first one on DS and it got to a point where I had a hard time winning unless I used certain COs instead of ones I powered up. I want to get this one though since I like this kind of game anyways.

Pvp is turn-based but I think you only have a limited time for your turn.

I'm liking this one way better than the first one on DS. I don't care too much for the optional battles, but at least its something to do. Is there one on each grid of the map? I was doing a few and they just kept showing up, so I went back to the story mode.

Also, how's the online play? I haven't tried it yet because I usually play when I'm doing something else or at work, which has no internet.

I hate the great owl.
