Seeing as how the firs CC on the Gamecube was completely fun with friends, I picked this one up yesterday. I haven't played single player yet (going to at work tonight), but from what I did of the multiplayer, its pretty fun.

Its a bit different that the GC one. You don't kill bosses for drops for the crystal, but to get people back into the main town. The king gives quests and rewards for completion, but I don't think its story based. The dialogue has some pretty funny parts too.

I'd definitely reccomend getting it if you have friends you can play it with.

If it's not story based I'm not getting it. What a waste of a good gameplay engine to not even bother with a story. We bought the first one and it just wasn't interesting without a story.

The single player mode has a story with pre-made characters. The multiplayer seems to be a flip-side of the single player where you have your own character and just do quests and clear the areas from the single player to help repopulate what I gather as the main city. Not as customizable as the GCN game, and gameplay was tweaked a bit (as far as clavats and selkies go anyway, have yet to play as the others), but it's still a good game. I would definitely recommend it if you have friends to play with.

After playing through the story more, it starts to pick up and isn't all teaching you how to do anything anymore. Where I'm at, the story looks like it can be a good one, but not enough details for me to be certain yet.

[spoiler]Boy and girl set out with friends to destroy evil person after father dies. They meet friends, find out their parents' past, and destroy evil. Brother and sister are sent back to a world with only themselves. Boy is dying, sister sacrificers herself to save him. He wishes he could be back with his family. Poof. Hes back, and mom is there this time. Happy ending.[/spoiler]

It was a pretty good game. Theres a lot of voice acting, and it wasn't too bad, but the levels were kinda bland. The armor looks pretty cool though, and each piece shows up different that I saw.

This game seems to be a prequel to the GCN game. There's a little throwback that is the River Belle level, which is filled with Miasma. I haven't gone through it enough to notice if it is the same in both games though.
