Alot of people have been waiting for this to become available to purchase through the playstation network. Now it is, although you wont find it at this time on the new release screen. Instead go to the E3 2009 tag and you will see it available there.

I was plesantly surprised when they made it available in Europe too. I was expecting the usual third-world treatment.

omahgah I went to mikey's house and downloaded this. Game looks nice on a tiny screen. Don't use the fast loading or your game will fuck up, same as using that option on ps2.

So now FF1-7 and FFtactics are portable. Now just squeeze 8-9 into a single UMD and make a miracle happen with portable ffx and I'm set.

Ugh, I don't have a PSP. I can emulate it fine on my PC and turn up the graphics decently in PSXe. I was hoping for the PS3 remake.

PSP is actually pretty decent now, it has a fairly solid all-around selection of games. The starter package is a good deal too, comes with a game, a movie, and a memory stick. There will be a Dissidia package later this year with Dissidia, a mem stick, and Advent Children umd movie. Package I got was ratchet and clank, mem stick, and national treasure 2. Good deal at $200 since I like R+C and National Treasure. I got mine late last year and I've played it just about as much as my DS during that time, which is a LOT since I commute from NJ to NY and play the whole way.

I almost never use the extra functions (music, movies, etc) so it definitely gets my approval as a gaming system.

I was so happy when this got released to PSN. It looks fine on PSP even stretched. I forgot how much I loved FF7. I also hope they release 8 and 9 next. I will be in heaven. There is nothing better than playing FF games on handheld.

I'm crossing my fingers for a FF6 DS remake [-o<

FF 6 deserves much more than just a simple ds remake, in fact i feel like the ds remake wouldn't even be done properly. FF 6 was already a rather lengthy game on snes.

That game deserves a full blow remake on a console.

That would be awesome. I'd cut my left testicle off to play a console remake of FF6.
