Lulzsec claim they're done (probably feeling the heat and finally decided to bail) but left posting a lot of stuff they'd hacked. One of the biggest things in the list was a list of people who'd played the Battlefield Heroes Beta, which were tied to EA accounts I believe. The file contains everyone's usernames and an unsalted MD5 hash. If your EA account was/is using a relatively simple password, its basicallly sitting there on the internet now for everyone to read with an online rainbow table. If you were using a more complex password then your password is just waiting for someone to bruteforce it first. I have the file, if you're unsure, tell me your username and I'll check if you're on the list. Note: I was on the list. The hash doesn't seem to be on any online rainbow tables though, but my hash was still in the file therefore I went and changed my EA account passwords. I'd encourage you to do the same if you ever tried Battlefield Heroes. |

Ket can you upload the file with EA accounts somewhere so I can take a look? I have a few accounts for a few different games that I wanna make sure isn't on the list. Tried grabbing the torrent to check for myself but its been removed. Edit: Nvm I found the torrent on another site. |
